Saudi is paying for the fights, so it’s only fair to take place there for their people. Fight fans want the atmosphere but moan if the Saudi National Anthem plays their National Anthem for 2 mins. So it makes sense that Saudi stay away from UK as a venue. If UK wants to host the matches here, then maybe put up the money for the ridiculous amounts that the promoters and fighters are asking.
We need to understand saudis have changed the game of boxing. Let’s just bloody enjoy it. National anthem was played because it was part of the Riyad season.
Simon must take hours doing his Lidl shopping checking if the ingredients are sourced in the UK. FFS give it a rest. Frees speech isn't an excuse to say dumb things😴
Turki is saving the sport of boxing and making the best fight the best. Stop crying Jordan. Literally gave us a huge fight at Wembley, Oasis, capped the ppv to 19.99, solid undercard, paid all the fighters well, what more do we need?
If you ignore the bit about the national anthem which is nonesense and weakens his argument Simon does make some good points. The rest i tend to agree with but the Saudis are good for boxing, fighters and fans arent exploited and the best fights are happening.
It's remarkable to witness how successful Hearn has been in gaslighting his supporters into believing it's perfectly okay for the Saudi national anthem to have been played before last weekend's boxing match between two British boxers in London.
Haven't heard what hearn said, and I'm not a massive fan of his, but I don't see the problem, they put on the event. I'd rather have Saudi anthem playing and get to watch 6 hours of sick fights, then have to watch it on the telly.
Also Edwin the car salesman has been instrumental in preventing his cash cow fighters actually fighting in "the big fights everyone wants to see" Hes been criticised for it by 5 promoters in total none of which have accused each other of doing the same. We now know why he micromanaged AJ too the big stiff walloper that he is/was

So that's a no then? It's not in-keeping with Wahabbi values so the Saudis would not permit it? Which was exactly his point.
