Gentle Wash/Hair Day W/ my 2 year old ✨

I’m so proud of us! I used to dread thinking about washing his hair. He used to cry so bad as of I was hurting him. I didn’t understand why he was so sensitive about it nor did I know how to make the experience easier for the both of us. I started to wash my oldest hairs son in the sink because it wasn’t as messy and I figured I would give it a try on mello. It was still rough at first but I would use the tablet to distract him and I’m trying different things to comfort him besides screen time. Don’t get me started on actually braiding his hair 😆😆. I leave his braids in for the washing and conditioning process to help us all. I make sure it is thoroughly rinsed out before beginning to do his hair. We’ve came along way and I hope it gets better! If your the momma of a child on the spectrum, give yourself grace ✨ don’t be scared and try new things.

My sons hair is literally in the same style and I have to wash it and redo it when I get off work

And Im going to keep it this way 🤣. I’ve tried a few different styles and I’m going to stick with the braids.
