This is actually insane. Did Google first, was lower than my average 230-250 download after switching from automatic. Cloudflare literally got me up to 409 download, I’ve never actually reached a download speed this good!!

@@xoced4720 depends on where you are in the house 2.4 is for a longer range it goes further but slower speed 5ghz goes shorter range with stronger speeds

Thanks mate, if you’re far from the router just select 2.4ghz, leaving it at auto gave me 11mbps, and the switch to 2.4 gave me 58mbps.
What is considered far from router?
@@devinanderson1926 The 5Ghz has a small radius, I can’t say the exact distance but you should receive a strong connection if your roughly within 15 meters of the router, anything further than that you’re better off using the 2.5GHz.

Changed the frequency to 2.4 Ghz, DNS to Cloudflare and MTU to 1472 on my PS5. Solved the stuttering instantly. Thank you.

Thank you so much, I was getting 150 ping with 300 spikes on auto dns and I had heard of the google one and still got 150 I had never heard of the cloud flare and I tried it and now I sit on 5-30 ping

After many tests. I got 2.4ghz and 200kbps/50mbps. Was an able to use ps stream. Now 5ghz and 370mbps

Google upload speed went from 2.4 to 3.5. Download stayed the same. Cloudflare was 9.4 for upload, download stayed the same! My internet is probably just dogshit tho. Spectrum in central NY.

I need help my WiFi router is in my living and my room is upstairs so when I play on 2.4 ghz I get good signal strength but when I play games like fifa and rocket league my ms is too high to play and when I play on 5 ghz the signal strength is around 30 - 40% and I get better ping but randomly in game the ping goes up and down and sometimes I will randomly get kicked out the game and the WiFi will disconnect from my ps5 then reconnect idk if this is my ps5 or the game or my WiFi

The higher the number the better right? Every connection test I do is always 600+ download and 50+ upload. Why are my numbers so high and yours so low? Because I always feel like my internet is trash on apex.
