Thanks so much for this. I love playing with mixed media techniques but seldom love how it comes out. This video is very helpful. Really looking forward to more on this topic. By the way, there are no mistakes in paper play - just opportunities for embellishment. 😁👍

You're welcome Gaye. Have fun playing with paper this weekend. Btw, what is your favorite mixed media technique?

Not sure where to ask a question re: your shorts so thought I’d post here! Love your wax seal shorts and the seals you have are beautiful. Could you please share where you got them from, particularly the last one (purple wax seal). Thx!

Hi Beatrice. Shockingly I purchase most of my wax seals on Amazon. Check them out. Thank you for watching.

You're welcome Cheryl. Btw, do you use a lot of mixed media in your crafting? If you do, what is your fave?

@@christinemleung Christine I have tried gesso and paste that’s about it. New at this since I have a little more time on my hands. I want to learn more to apply to my journals. You make it look so easy. What I do like about trying different process is the outcome. So stress free 😀

Have you tried the Tim Holtz watercolor pencils? They work very similar.

I like the watercolor pencils and think they work better than the crayons. I feel you have more time to work with the watercolors than the crayons.

Hi Morgaine. The only watercolor pencils I use are the Faber Castell. I'll have to try the Tim Holtz ones. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Vikki. Are they better than the Faber Castell pencils?

You will laugh at this -- I use eye shadow to "age" or highlight papers. Shadows come in many colors.

I think using eyeshadow to age and highlight is a great idea. It is also cheaper than many of the name craft supplies!

Ditto ! I have even used paste shoe polish when in a pinch👍

Ok girls, you are opening my eyes! Eye shadow? Funny, I use this sparkle glitter that comes in eye shadow form to embellish my wax seals, but never thought to use my own eye shadow for aging papers. Brilliant idea Carola! Btw, I'm going to feature that technique in one of my tips and tricks videos. Do you mind if I reference you? I won't use your last name. If you're not comfortable with that, I understand. I just like to give credit where credit is due. You're a genius!

You're right Morgaine. And how many eye shadow palettes do we all have that we don't use anymore. It's brilliant! 🙃

What???? Shoe Polish? I'm going to have to try that. Btw, I'm going to mention the shoe polish and try it in one of my next scrapbooking tips and tricks vids. Do you mind if I reference you? I won't use your last name. I just want people to know that it's my crafting community that is coming up with these fabulous ideas. I understand if you don't want you name mentioned. I just like to give credit where credit is due. Thank you for sharing your secrets Cheryl. 😄

Hi Christine! I need to change my mentality and "take a page from your book". Sadly I'm such a clean freak. I would be way more creative if I would just let things go..... flow! LOL. Have a fantastic week.

This is still a little to advanced for a beginner. We don’t have embossing equipment. Help.😊

    • @christinemleung
      @christinemleung  Год назад

I understand. If you look at a lot my projects, I rarely use embossing folders. The crayons with water keeps it simple though. Start with that. Have a great weekend and thank you for watching.
