Hey friends! Thanks so much for watching. I'm sharing a full basement tour / walkthrough in this video. I just finished completely organizing, decluttering, and cleaning out my basement. Since my basement is unfinished, it isn't a very pretty or inviting space where I want to spend a lot of time, but it serves as a storage space for tons of household items, including all of my holiday and seasonal decor. Come along with me as I share how I organize all of my storage shelves, storage tubs, collectables, home improvement supplies, board games, holiday decorations, furniture, artwork and so much more. I worked in retail display for over 25 years and warehousing, so i know something about efficient storage. Keep it neat , organized and labeled.
Great job! Watch your labels. I had a few of mine fall off my plastic storage bins. I put some clear packaging tape over them and I haven't had any problems since. It looks marvelous.
I plan on doing this in January. At least starting. So much stuff that I need to donate and get organized. Mine is also unfinished. Yours looks great! Congrats. 💯

I like the idea of like with like. I think your organizing is spot on. Just to let you know, not all Americans have basements. I have to use my garage to store my stuff. Thanks for sharing.
You are on the right track! A couple of suggestions. Paint the walls in latex white. Cinderblock walls painted really look nice and add brightness. Second, use modular boxes. I organize all my holiday in decorations in labeled kits. Meaning anything that goes with a certain display in a same size box. Down to the extention cords. Zip lock bags are great for keeping each string of lights untangled within each kit box.

Love the pegboard idea for the wreaths! I can't drill holes though. I need to figure out my wreath situation, we have a good 15 and box storage is just not going to cut it for now. I was also thinking of s-hooks on our coat rack, but I'll see once I get everything together for placement. Wish me luck. Good job on your basement organization.
Thank you so much! If you're hanging only wreaths and they're not super heavy, you could consider using a handful of command strip adhesives for a piece of pegboard? Or to mount a light bar horizontally and use S hooks even. Idk just a thought :)
@@MissAnnieB Thanks for the reply and suggestions! I could use command strips in place of a peg board. And the coat rack(albeit short) is already mounted & could serve as my "light bar "so I'll see if I can do half and half😊😊

Disclaimer, all Americans do not have basements. We do not have nearly this much stuff. We're not minimulists, but all the stuff we have is used and useful. Just wanted to share.
