I had the same issue and resolved it in 5 minutes with a small screwdriver and a broken guitar string: 1 lift the guitar over your head 2 aee the socket and feed it through the hole with the small screwdriver 3 make a tiny hook with your guitar string and hook the the socket and it stays up. 4 feed the washer and nut over the guitar string and screw accordingly. Easy job!!!
Haha, what ever feels to be the hardest way! To me plenty easier would have been fish it out from F-hole, then pull any long wire from the jack-hole, fish it from F-hole, pull half a meter out, thru the jack (with the missing? locking-washer) make a knot underside the jack, an then pull wire and jack to the jack hole, drop the washer and nut thru the wire, tighten them, and last pull the wire out from f-hole...
and: prevent this happening again, one tiny tiny drop of superglue in contact between with nut and jack. Then the nut would not start loosening. And one tiny drop of glue helps the locking-washer keep on place when fiddling jack thru guitar..
Well, first I was able to get a hold of one of the ground/hot wires to the jack with tweezers--I was able to pull on the wire until I could see the jack. After that I bent the end of a wire into a hook to clumsily fish it up to the surface
@@fuzzbus Thanks. Before I ever saw your reply I did exactly the same thing. Good pair of glasses, mechanics wire and a headband light were my tools. Oh and the key was another wire with an old guitar jack securely attached to it. Insert the jack into the input and then pull it to the hole.
That happened to me today and I had it upside down and I was trying to get it with some pliers and it went back in the hole I have no idea where it is Jesus Christ with a pain in the ass
