"Emolient".... Mark's 'word you won't hear in any other road test' of the week... As usual, watch his reviews and you'll know more about a car than reading/watching a dozen others. Top job.

Hello Mark, I really like watching your reviews.
I’m considering the st line with 190bhp and auto plus the enhanced pack.
    It comes with 4x4 too.
What’s your opinion on that version please?

I've got a Kuga 68 plate 1.5 petrol ST line and I really like it. I think it's a great looking car and drives well and it feels really comfy. I've ordered and New ST line X 1.5 diesel. Was worried it might be a bit sluggish but this review has made me feel happy about my choice. Cheers

That "tunning" button is VERY helpful if you listen to the radio frequently. Now, you might laugh but kuga gives the option of cd player!! Since i have a big collection these oldschool feature mean a lot to me!

Are you sure Ford give customers the option of a CD player in the current Kuga? Never ever seen
it specified in options not matter where i look online and dealers have always said there isn't an option by Ford. Something I would have welcomed as I have a massive CD collection too, and it was an option that was made available to Focus customers when the current model originally hit the showrooms

Just found your channel, great reviews, entertaining and informative.
I’ve recently test drive a phev st line and it’s fantastic, and exactly how you describe it.
I had it for the weekend, it’s quick (the extra battery boost in sport mode really hits surprisingly hard), amazingly smooth and incredibly frugal. Don’t be put off by the CVT gearbox, it was my first time using one and I got in with it very well.
Looking forward to watching a few more of your reviews 👍

I m pretty sure there will be the same comments, but still during video there was good parts and questionable parts (sound), seems that sometimes you have used heavy carpet which helped a lot with echo. Cheap foam from "internet" might help, if placed on higher side of wall if ceiling is high. Also video quality, especially your part seems to be improved, but if you would use a phone 10 years old to record, i would still watch it and share it. You need to be seen by more people and i hope you will get that soon! Thanks and keep on going! 🤙🍿

Hello Mark, thank you for great review. Can you eventually review Ford Kuga FHEV (ST-Line X we have in Germany is AWD FHEV Hybrid) ? Maybe a mix windy roads and some top speed highway drives. If your opinion after such drive test stays positive i am buying the car.

I’m a motability customer (5 spinal ops that have left me worse , horrendous pain/numbness the lot in left leg & minus 3bottom discs. Not to mention SI joints pressing on nerves & my fusions extend from sacrum to half way up my back!) I have the same prob as the ‘princess & the pea’ I struggle to find comfort in a seat/bed . My current Kuga STline AWD (live in N Scotland) has been great & extremely comfortable, I do low mileage so was advised to keep it 5 years this time. So with time to change naturally I wanted to go for the same especially as the dealer is 5 miles away from my village. The scheme has only put the hybrids on - & the advance payments have gone up a lot! I was able to test drive the ST line phev which I was going to order before Xmas but every time I went into dealership the motability person wasn’t available but i did eventually get the manager & I said what I was going for & usually you need the second driver with you so I said I’ll have to bring my husband in but he was working all the time then my mother fell ill with her back/leg - I’m not able to deal but my father died a few years ago so no option. I had to deal with docs over phone complete nightmare - they didn’t know what it was, she couldn’t walk so I had to give my walker which I hate anyway & it was basically a nightmare, ended up going private to find out & it was a disc pressing on nerves so basically the blind leading the blind! I apologise for essay but it was suddenly NY Eve & I realised on 1 jan prices likely to increase & yes they did. Now I’ve dealt with this dealership for over 20 years & youdve thought some1 might’ve called prior since I’d said what I was ordering- but no! When I went in when they opened the manager said there’s nothing I can do & btw you didn’t need your husband you can do it from home & scan everything 😡😡😡😡 as you can imagine!! (My mother is much better btw - the disc moved off nerve as per MRI - private again- NHS would’ve taken over a year to see a specialist🙄🙄🙄. Ok essay finishing- can anyone give advice if you’re still with me on the 2,5 duratec STline X - I need the heated seats! I will have to go for the fhev as the phev as gone up so much🙄🙄🙄. I found the seat firmer than my current ST line & there’s no paddles to go into manual for snow, which we get. There’s different modes ie snow slippery eco sport etc @ an L button on the auto dial which slows the car down - prob a bit like the 1 &2 features on old kugas. I noticed the European model had a manual button & paddles- idk why we don’t 🤷‍♀️- so basically help a damsel in distress pls 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 TIA🥰🥰

It's crazy to me that Ford still doesn't sell the Puma here in the USA. If you want an SUV smaller than the Escape/Kuga they have only been offering the crummy Ecosport. Though at least now they offer the Bronco Sport.

All these toys are there because its just come on the market and they want to attract customers,
for next years updated model you may well find some of them have found their way to the options list
because it's been given more power or some such '' update''. But then I'm a very cynical person.

Ford do great drivetrains/gearboxes /great to drive however quality is down on its rivals especially interior design all very bland for me, I agree with mark about the looks too the size of the windows seem odd too big and for the diesel engine doing 3000rpm at 70 in 6th gear that's not good my previous c-max 1.5 diesel would be doing just over 2000rpm.

Excellent. I buy them second hand. Last two VW's were an endless stream of bills and issues, and of course were over priced. My cheaper Galaxy did 4 years, took it from 65k to 160k, loaded with kids, bikes, canoes all around Highlands, down to Southern France. Nothing other than routine servicing / wear parts, one broken coil spring and one occasional sticky door lock.

    • @sjb2471
      @sjb2471 3 года назад +2

It’s like you didn’t watch the review at all...you’ve revealed your inherent bias against Ford when you said you were a VW driver.
The reality is, European Fords tend to outlast VWs in the main - particularly the engines with their lack of plastic water pumps, etc... The interiors come down to spec and design, and VW tend to do a better job with that (though this is fading fast - Golf 8s cheapo interior reveals that they can no longer afford such a luxe material quality on a mainstream car), but the same company makes their interiors - the French company, Faurecia, so the actual quality is much the same!
