My preference when watching any RUclips video is for the presenter to be genuine, relaxed, authentic, to who they are and not forced or affected. You do that nicely and make old furniture come to life again! What's not to like. 😊

That wood is absolutely beautiful no matter what it is. You're choice of handles did a great job of hiding the flaws but you got me thinking and I thought about putting inlay over the areas and found pre made inlay online. That way you just need to router out the shape and pop it in. Just a thought for the future. I also like your commentary, I learn a lot from you so don't stop. I hope you , your family and Daisy all have a great holiday.

I think I must be the only person in the world that likes the curvy skirts. I think it's part of what gives these older pieces their charm. It looks like natural maple grain to me but the color is different. Interesting. The piece is beautiful.

That wood grain is dazzling! It really detracts from the repairs. Yes, I think you made a good choice on the decorative trim on bottom. The curvy thing just did not fit with the rest of the dresser. Daisy just gets perkier every time we see her. Bouncing around like a puppy now.

Years ago I was gifted a small secretary desk with the glassed doors above and it was American Maple. From what I can see of this piece it reminds me strongly of that desk, so I'm with you, some sort of maple.
I'm not overly fond of the drawer pulls, but I really can't think what else you could have done, with out actually cutting another square of wood to go on top or replacing the front panels, and that obviously is an even worse choice. I did like how you combined the gold and black spray to get that old gold look.
Altogether, a great job from a piece that was treated very badly and botched up almost beyond repair. I _do_ wish people would stop and think and walk away when they can think of nothing but hammering in more holes. Just because they can't fix it doesn't mean someone else can't🤨
You did a great job making this a useful chest of drawers again, and hopefully it will go to someone who respects furniture more. 😃

Lovely finish, beautiful work restoring this chest. There always seems to be so much more work involved and your solutions are so informative. Attention to detail is superb. Nice groom on your English Cocker, Daisy. Happy Holidays

I think I have watched all your videos... this mammoth restoration video was AMAZING! I appreciate that you care all the detailed work you do. This piece was in such a bad shape! It was like a patient in terminal condition and you showed up and saved him! The END RESULT is GORGEOUS! The choice of handles and the color you painted them is AWESOME! Merry Christmas and a happy new year!

The curved base brackets were an understated embellishment and gave a hint of the Victorian era. Details like that are very popular in traditional decor.
