I reckon that if someone was a bit handy, they could make a small survival fishing/hunting tool out of that 5 in 1 whistle thingy.
Similar to a hobo reel.🤔

The little container could be used as a medicine bottle, pills etc. Matches/lighter in the whistle.

To be fair it's incorrectly labelled as a ''camping accessories kit'', it's really a ''survival kit''...contains 3 Cs but lacks in a knife (cutting) and cordage. Also the container being plastic always annoys me, just make it out of aluminium or steel and it can be used for boiling water and cooking.
Bottom line is - in my opinion anyway - that you're better off making your own, based firstly around the 5 Cs: a good poncho (cover), some cordage, a lighter and/or firesteel, better to have both and some storm matches too (combustion), a stainless steel cup (container), and a Swiss Army knife or Mora fixed blade (cutting tools). Those would set you back more around 50 quid or more if you get quality items but you can have a lot of fun and years of use out of them on day trips or camping trips.
That’s actually a good point, at some point I’ll try put together my very own survival kit that be a fun idea

£9.99 🤔 .. not too bad, although I already have all of the stuff in the kit. Those 'cash / note' capsules are very handy on one's key ring or belt lanyard. Put a £50 note therein and forget about it. One day (hopefully never) .. it will come in handy, very handy. The box will make for a nice 'scoff tin' 😊.
Yep, the Aldi (and Lidl) Centre Isles make for nice 'walk through and browse' visits. The one's in Germany, just across the Rhine from me here in Switzerland generally have a larger selection of 'odds and sods' than in the Schweiz and are somewhat cheaper.

Do you drink alcohol cos the make may keep you away from midges and I like some a little bit I'm not sure if that box is good value

Cheap overpriced tat. No way you should depend on these, it’s all gimmicky. Get a decent fire steel, the compass, forget about it, the whistle- crap. Not impressed at all!☹️

Not a great kit, I have a lot of adventure ridge gear. It's always a gamble when buying from supermarket bins.
