  • The 28th Global Ocean Oxygen Network (GO2NE) webinar took place on 03 April 2024 and welcomed:
    Tom Hull of the Centre for Environment Fisheries and Aquaculture Science (CEFAS), United Kingdom, speaking on the Observing ocean oxygen in UK shelf seas;
    Monaliza Mohd-Din from the Faculty of Science and Marine Environment, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Malaysia, speaking on High biomass diatom blooms induced the formation of hypoxic-anoxic zones in the inner part of Johor Strait, Malaysia;
    and moderator Aileen Tan Shau Hwai of the Centre for Marine & Coastal Studies, Unversiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia.
    At each webinar of this series, speakers present the latest science on the impacts of reduced oxygen in the open ocean and coastal zones. Each webinar features two presentations - one each from a senior scientist and an earlier-career scientist. Each presenter speaks for 20 minutes, followed by a 10-minute moderated Q&A session.
    GO2NE is an Expert Working Group under the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of UNESCO (IOC/UNESCO).
