I don't like the ones with British, England English, Australian accents..... Which sucks because some of the stories seem like they would be good but once I hear the accent it is ruined
I am a Hmong American. Chai Vang hits right at home for me, because I can recall the events that were happening when the events took place. I have and still have mixed emotions of the situation took place. Was he in the right? Or was he in the wrong? Unfortunately the only people that know is Chai vang and the deceased. Whats worst is the injustice northern Wisconsin has towards Hmong people, even to this day. My heart hurts for them. My heart hurts for all the injustices happening now in this country. May people never lose their heart in all this, and may we all continue to come together in these turbulent times
Nobody ever has a right to kill 6 people because they tell you to get off private property , regardless what words are used. When are people going to realize taking another life is never ok unless somebodys trying to kill you. There was not a shell found from the deceased, and testimony stated the owners of the private land did not fire a shot at Vang before he decided to start killing 6 people. It did not at all seem like self defense, and i believe Vang got a fair and just sentence. Vang should never have been on private land in the first place, should not have been hunting on someone elses land, should have left off the private land immediately without dispute, regardless what anyone says that offended him, and he DEFINITELY DOES NOT have a right to kill 6 people because they told him to get off their private land , regardless of what was said. If Vang had not been trespassing on private land none of this would have happened. But he did, it did happen, and he got a fair and just sentence, and nothing will bring 6 deceased back. What that man did is NOT f**king ok.
@@omgyou735 I guess because people are justifying murder, and with everything that's going on with equality lately we can't pick and choose . I'm sure that man wishes he could go back and make a different choice but he can't and it's not ok.
I am Hmong and from Minneapolis MN. The Chai Vang case was front page news for a whole year. Sad thing is that after that case closed, there was a white man that killed a Hmong hunter in retaliation for the other hunters in the Chai Vang case. He was shot, stabbed and left in a hollow grave with sticks that were jabbed into his body. The Hmong hunter that was killed was named Cha Vang.
@@cerridwenkitty I actually play them when I do suduko or if I am driving to the next province. Its actually so much eerie when you're driving in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere. Really sets the mood. 👻 💀🧟♀️
@@sjean7951 OMG, that driving part sounds creepy though! Have you encountered anything paranormal while driving through the middle of nowhere at night?
Only I too rarely get nightmares. Almost never. Besides, I am too acclimatised to hauntings here in Gallows Hill, most hauntings by my guardian who watches out for me and protects me always. His presence is always enough to silence all poltergeists and make many shadows flit out of his way. Yet, his presence fills me with a sense of safety. At the beginning, I was petrified of him, just because he was an unseen ghost and I thereby misunderstood him. It took me few years to acclimatise to his presence and realise him as my guardian. He has over the years been saving my life from a series of spiritual attacks, also from hardline criminals like stalkers, rapists, murderers, terrorists. I know nearly all his haunting patterns and also his scare tactics on criminals. At home in Gallows Hill, when the air is still and serene, I relax. It means I am safe. The atmosphere suddenly changes, only when dangers lurking in my proximity. My guardian makes breezes and blustery winds inside rooms, most stormy winds with harmful spirits. He thwarts all dangers in my life and oftentimes keeps me in blissful ignorance of them. It is always much later that I find signs of botched crimes like the smashed door, broken glass pieces, foot prints on floor, etc. I almost never get nightmares, as my guardian banishes them from my mind. In my sleep, I sometimes see jet-black screens suddenly thrown over my bad dreams which last few seconds each. Previously, that happened umpteen times on one night.
1:45:07 Wow, thank you for adding my story into this compilation. Such a long time ago but the memory of that incident is still in my mind. It was a horrible experience but I decided to share it as one of the many other strange and scary experiences I've had in my life. I love this channel and hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Can't wait to hear more. 😊
Omg that's terrible. I hope those men were caught. I'm glad the women survived. Although did you end up seeing a article about it? I was just wondering how you knew she survived? Just curious because of the removal of her items. I understand she didn't feel safe and didn't want to recover on her own, but there is always the chance that the removal of things was because of her passing away. I could see the adults not telling a young child because it would of been traumatizing enough to witness a attempted murder, let alone a murder. I'm so sorry you and your friend witnessed that but on the bright side at least someone was there to call emergency services for her. And of course the lady and her family having to go through that. Such senseless violence. Blocking of course is a survival mechanism that is very common until the brain feels it's mature enough to deal with it. I wish you well and the lady hopefully is doing well now also.
@@onemightsay4622 Yeah I cannot be sure that she survived. As I was 7 years old I couldn't say if our parents were telling the truth or trying to spare us from knowing that we actually witnessed a murder. But even 34 years later I still remember what those men looked like as they turned and looked straight at us. It was one of the most frightening things I witnessed. It took years for me to even remember this incident but I rather believe that she recovered. Live in that fairy tale that she survived and her family moved her out because they didn't want her to go back.
Your videos are literally my go to for anything. Walking to work? Scary stories. Cleaning the house? You guessed it, scary stories! Love them so much and your voice is so relaxing and easy to listen to
Wasn't a "hippy" perhaps a woman in deeply immersed in the Pagan religion. She could have been trying to emulate a goddess. (Only speculation, from stories I have heard).
I had a similar stalker experience my freshman year of high school. I was 13 and he was a senior who had severe yellow fever and an obsession with"kawaii girls, especially the tiny ones." because I'm about 5'0 he said that I reminded him of a loli from an anime (I'm only half asian and its Korean, not Japanese) and insisted that I was in love with him and at one point tried to grab me in the parking lot after a dance performance. I've been in taekwondo and jiu jitsu since I was 5 years old and became an internationally registered black belt at 10. I beat the living crap out of him in front of his friends and told him I knew 6 different ways to break his neck and wouldn't hesitate to show him if he ever layed his revolting hands on me again. He transferred schools before he could graduate
I'm pretty sure I went to school with the person from the homecoming story. I remember when the creepy kid at my school carved the name of the chick he liked in his arm

The marijuana story upset me so much, my dad is a captain in the forest service and as apart of his job he has to raid marijuana gardens and he’s almost been shot and killed by the people growing them so many times.
I LOVE listening to these as I sleep, drive, make dinner.... everything. I don't watch TV at all anymore thanks to you and a few more 😍 it revitalized my imagination, instead of watching TV, I get to imagine the story you're telling.
Just speaking from experience.. no disrespect to the channel, i enjoy the stories going to bed but I do like to play "jury" on the stories as the details are half the fun to me to judge! Ive caught many other discrepancys!
Listening to these stories at 11pm when l hear my front gate open. I look through the blinds & see a dark figure with a hoodie on. I had just fully charged my camera doorbell & had put it out front. No surprise it didn't activate, takes a bit as Internet is in the kitchen. I wait for the guy to press the doorbell but he doesn't. So l rip the wooden door open, why? bullies & scum get my blood boiling, l left the screen door shut & locked. He says he's looking for an address, l tell him this isn't it, he says he's looking for GAV, no such person. He says l'm not lying & looks to be pulling up a message on his phone & as if to show me but l can't see from the angle, like he thought l would open the door to look. I said why don't you call your mate & he says that he's tried. He then says his mate said there's a sticker on the glass UTBHR or something & can he look, l'm like "what" he's like "is there glass, he leans towards my door & says oh there's not". He then asks my name. The guy had prison tattoos & you could tell he was up to no good. He wanted to come in my house a check. I've been working at a law firm for over 12 yrs & l know the type. Long story short l didn't let him in, he left but l could hear him in the street. I texted my neighbour who is a busy body thank goodness.
Busybody neighbors come in REAL handy especially when you have NOTHING going on! I'm lucky to have 1 living below me & a 👮 living 1 over downstairs!! 1 text the WHOLE place knows WHO, what, where, when..😅
@@leighhunterjumperz3038 Exactly, I was home but completely missed what happened out front yesterday, a Police raid with riot Police. My neighbour called me because her neighbour called her. Cant believe I missed it. Although I'm usually at work & miss everything.
story 1; you know whats scarier than hearing a gunshot in the middle of nowhere ? hearing a gunshot in the middle of a crowded city. you know whats more haunting than a scary ghost ? a scary person lol
I’ve noticed no one has mentioned the deer story in the comments. Am I the only one that wants to call bs? The writing was just so done up. “I’m not telling you where I am because I might go to jail.” “Can’t be a hippie, there were no flowers in her hair.” “Played right into the stereotype of my personality, they never evened question it.” Like just sounds pretentious. You supposedly shot a woman in the head and your only concern is there are no flowers on her headpiece? Really? Don’t believe it.
Valerie Storm honestly I watch so many videos on RUclips I can barely remember this story, much less the time stamp 😂 If you skip through the starts of them, the one that sounds awfully fake is the one I’m talking about. Sorry love

My girlfriend hates it when I listen to these lol! The story about the guy who shot the women doesn't make any sense. So there's a dead body in the woods with his brother in law's bullet in it that can be traced back to him??? But they haven't gotten caught yet??? 🤨

Unless you have a gun to compare the bullet to, it isn't a slam dunk. You absolutely NEED to fire the gun with a new bullet to even see if it matches. Your logic is not, well, logical.

I like this guy’s reading narration . I listen to these while I stock overnight. The ones involving the corp I work for are always my favorite and most relatable but it all depends if the narrator has a good voice.
Thank you for reading about the secret war and chai vang, he is well known in the hmong community. Many hmong ppl know him as a "hero" for self defense. I however was too young to understand what was going on.
Hero? He murdered 6 people. And should not have been on private land . If he hadnt been trespassing on private property he probably would not have murdered 6 humans. Regardless of what those men said to him Vang had no right to trespass on private property and definitely had no right to murder 6 people regardless of what insults those men said to him. Verbal insults never make it ok to murder 6 people. That man is no hero. He trespassed on private property and murdered 6 human beings.
@@jameswesten2018 well truly we dont know what happened, we dont know if they threw something at him? maybe tried hitting him n he shot & had flashbacks n kept going, not saying its right BUT we truly just dont know what fully went down that night, but sadly it wasnt a good ending for anyone involved n also thats the sad thing with us humans, we tend too act different towards those WHO look different, even if his hunting on private propriety theres nice ways at telling the person hey man we own this land n we like you not to hunt here seeing as you could shoot someone by accident etc also it sounds like they chatted he left n then for w/e reason the guy went back too harass him n get his name etc etc n then we just dont know what went from there, maybe he shoulda just let him leave as he said he was, tho maybe he said he was leaving n then ambushed them? thats the truly sad thing is we wont ever know the truth from that night
In the first story, I happen to believe that the voices and gunshot he heard were in FACT a replay of a murder that had taken place years ago. Residual energy is what it's called. When I was a baby, my Parents move in a apartment that was haunted. They'd hear someone walking in the living room, faucet turning on, recliner creaking, etc. It went on every night. One night they heard a gunshot go off in the apartment as they were in bed. Come to find out, the man that previously lived there was murdered by a jealous husband that the man was having an affair with. You could even see his blood on the ceiling through the paint. Spirits can re-enact previous traumas that have occurred in this life.
If I ever have kids, I'll be sure to make them listen to the stories (especially the ones about predators) before letting them use social media so that they know the dangers and how to spot predators.
I love hearing your voice very relaxing I have a hard time keeping my eyes open but the best part is waking up and hearing a amazing story and falling back asleep too...😊😴
a saiga rifle with 20 rounds on a hunting trip... sorry, im calling bullshit, saiga only makes shotguns and they would be highly illegal to hunt with period.
I have a Saiga 7.62X39 AK. Saiga semi-automatic rifle The Saiga semi-automatic rifles are a family of Russian semi-automatic rifles manufactured by Kalashnikov Concern, which also manufactures the original AK-47 and its variants, Saiga-12 shotguns and Dragunov sniper rifle. But yes, you are right about the 20 round magazine, that is illegal to use when hunting.
Hiking story - my mother looks frail, pale and weak, she's over 70, but she is a professional mountaineer. Hiked up the big E in her youth. Never stopped hiking to this day, just taking easier peaks and using sticks now. What I can tell you for sure is that there are trails she knows like the back of her hand. She knows ways to get from point A to point B within 5min by crossing through more rugged terrain. She can hop rock to rock and slide through mud like a proper wildcat. People from those days were just built different.
Thank you for naming a few more that I can check out. I love "Let's Read", & " Darkness Prevails"!! I also enjoy "Creepy Pasta", & " Raven Reads" but I have pretty much listen to all of their videos. 😂
The story at 1:37:20 gave me chills. To the author, I totally believe in the alternative dimension/time warp theory. I'm avid trail runner. There's a portion of the trail here in LA where there is a huge oak tree, that stands out as a marker of sorts, as it's bigger than all other trees. One evening as I'm running I past the tree and keep going (as my route is one way in this area), I suddenly feel disoriented and my vision now distorted, seeing prisms. I hydrate and keep going thinking I'm tripping. As I round the bend. I see the tree again. I just passed it. Impossible. I keep going, around the bend and the huge oak tree pops up again. This repeated about 5 times until I got too nervous and ran to the entrance hoping not to see the tree again. I didn't. This was the same area that years back I saw a Native American looking man in native garb walking past me as I rounded the bend. I turned around thinking how strange that he's more dressed for a Pow Wow than hiking. As I turned around he was gone. I bolted out of there past that same oak tree. Thinking about submitting my story.
Have you seen these “prisms” before? It’s called an ocular or ophthalmic migraine. Pt usually sees prisms or sparkles in both eyes. No headache usually but def visual disturbances. Lasts a few minutes 3-15, generally. Not serious. No explanation for the most part, but hydration may help. Def not supernatural. Be well.
The psycho girl that was threatening to go to someone else's house to start trouble isn't very smart. There are tons of people like me who stay strapped and will defend themselves without fear of prosecution. Not only do I have an arsenal, but I have 2 well trained Cane Corsos. Never go to someone's home to start trouble. Might just end up on the evening news or a true crime video.
Haha, ya heard my prayers and got us all a new set of stories with your killer narration. Stay safe out there everyone, things are turning into a Let's Read story.
The cheerleader one is just infuriating- Oh my god there are so many times this obsessive behavior could have been prevented but instead everyone hyped him up and encouraged him
Word to the wise - retractable leashes are absolutely useless and just dangerous. Never use them. I don't care how supposedly well behaved your dog is.

WHY WOULD YOU ACCEPT A DATE FROM A SUSPECTED CREEPER? And the cheer captain orchestrated it? Girl, if I were you, I would've rejected creeper boy on camera, then broken your relationship with the captain. Then published the thing to humiliate both of them. You were afraid of humiliating him? You're in highschool, they'll care about it for a week, maybe, then drop it.
Wait, OP was 50 and he's been hunting 20 years? Why did his dad wait til OP was 30 to teach him to hunt? Details, people, you gotta keep your story straight if you want to keep readers on the hook.
Living in South Africa we don't call the police for help. I'm more afraid of the police than anything else. It must be wonderful to be able to call the police and know you are going to be safe.
He does a live feed, he makes mistakes and talks about stuff and answers questions during that time. We distract him a lot. The cheerleaders, mean girls! Same in my high school. But I got the last laugh! These nasty creatures peaked in high school and while I later published a book and travelled the world, they are still stuck in our hometown living their miserable, narrow little lives!😂
2:11-ITS REAL EASY, ALL YOUVE TO DO IS STAY OFF LINE FOR A WHILE! We never had this crap growing up & we all loved life to the fullest! And when something bugged you that wasn’t you or yours then just ignore it! Don’t let social media ruin your life!
Part 1, Story 3, 13:20 - To the author of this story who went hunting and shot a gun, both for the first time, with his brother-in-law… I’m guessing the bro-in-law ended up going back to the place where the antler wearing, mud covered woman was accidentally shot and got rid of her body. He probably buried her deep into the forest somewhere not very long after their hunting trip. I’m sure the bro-in-law never told a soul about what happened and it would be in the best interest of the author to keep it to himself for the rest of his life too! IF, he does decide to tell law enforcement about everything that happened, there’s a very high chance that the body will no longer be there. I believe the bro-in-law would absolutely deny what happened and without any evidence the author would be called a liar and his relationship with his wife, bro-in-law and the rest of their family would be destroyed beyond repair. It just wouldn’t be worth it. The author is the one who took the shot and killed the woman by accident and made the choice to NOT report the incident or even near the time it happened. He didn’t even tell his wife! If you think about everything involved in the incident, right or wrong, the bro-in-law kept what the author did a total secret which helped the author. Even if the bro-in-law did not go back to move and/ or bury the body, the chance of anyone ever finding the body deep into that forest is EXTREMELY LOW. Think about ALL of the types of scavenger animals in a forest. The chance that they already carried her flesh and bones far away from the spot she died, along with the insect population finishing off the rest…is VERY HIGH. There’s nothing left to be found. If it’s his morals that are beating him down after all this time he should definitely talk to his priest/ pastor about what happened and continue to ask Our Lord and God for forgiveness about what he ACCIDENTALLY DID, for the rest of his life. Is it really worth ruining his family? The woman was described as having very long and gnarled yellow fingernails along with her naked body being 100% covered in dried mud… She was obviously living a feral type of life and if the accident was reported that day, I doubt there would have been anyone to report her death to. Don’t get me wrong, I know her life was JUST AS IMPORTANT as yours and mine! You do have to remember that SHE is the one who DECIDED to wear a big rack of deer antlers on her head, to cover her body in mud making her body resemble the color of a deer and to start crawling around in the forest near people during deer hunting season. I think if law enforcement was called out there that very same day there would have been ZERO charges brought upon the author due to all of the crazy extenuating circumstances! I hope everyone is enjoying this 2023 Holiday Season and I wish y’all a very Merry Christmas and/or a Happy Hanukkah! ✝️🎄🕎🎁☃️ Love from Texas ♥️🤠🌴
The stalker story is so infuriating--so glad this young lady was strong enough to stand up for herself and never cave to social pressure. That town sounds awful.
The story about the woman wearing antlers: honestly.....hunters feel ok about killing animals, but get freaked out about killing humans. Why? You're a killer either way.

Natalie Benns I’ll be in your nightmares stuck in my own nightmare.
And thank you for posting that time stamp! That high school stalker story was just insufferable.
1:49:00 he says fathers friend instead of friends father
Thank you for sharing your story with all of us!
Your videos are literally my go to for anything. Walking to work? Scary stories. Cleaning the house? You guessed it, scary stories! Love them so much and your voice is so relaxing and easy to listen to

So the guy in the third story pretty much confessed to murder 🌚
he probably wouldn't have ended up in jail if he had called the cops. It was an accident. She was wearing antlers.
Wasn't a "hippy" perhaps a woman in deeply immersed in the Pagan religion. She could have been trying to emulate a goddess.

@@Emily-lh6em So apparently all you have to do to get away with murder is make an antler headdress and put it near the body...

Bullshit … on all of it lol
I’m afraid I’m also going to have to call BS on this.
If it's BS great story! If it's true you go girl!
If it is true it is a cool story…I just do not think it is true!
There's soooo much missing from this story.
I'm pretty sure I went to school with the person from the homecoming story. I remember when the creepy kid at my school carved the name of the chick he liked in his arm
Holy crap. That's insane.

I've always been a fan of Mr.nightmare's channel and always considered him as NO 1 , that was until I found ur channel

Mr. Nightmare also only uploads maybe once per month. He no where deserves that amount of subs. Folks like Let's Read, do. He puts the good work in.

@@pnwperson Agreed but I still like the content, like if your on a long road trip, it could be, suprising, you know, like, he still does good too, just less suspenseful, again let's read is still a AWESOME narrator.

Just speaking from experience.. no disrespect to the channel, i enjoy the stories going to bed but I do like to play "jury" on the stories as the details are half the fun to me to judge! Ive caught many other discrepancys!
@@bryany6565 Yeah same. Pretty sure most of these "true" stories from Reddit are all fake and just trying to get internet points.
The stories may be fake but they are quite interesting
Even with a smaller gun like an SKS or a Ruger 10.22. Without any ear protection they are insanely loud.
Its too contrived, also it would be accidental wearing Antlers and no safety neon

The antler story is straight out of True Detective series 1. Poor.
I didn't buy it either!
"It doesn't involve aliens or big foot or anything." A few minutes later... "gHoSTs"
Do those count as aliens?
I’ve noticed no one has mentioned the deer story in the comments. Am I the only one that wants to call bs? The writing was just so done up. “I’m not telling you where I am because I might go to jail.” “Can’t be a hippie, there were no flowers in her hair.” “Played right into the stereotype of my personality, they never evened question it.” Like just sounds pretentious. You supposedly shot a woman in the head and your only concern is there are no flowers on her headpiece? Really? Don’t believe it.
I must have sleep through that, do you know that time stamp approximately so I don't have to listen to the whole 3 hours again to agree?

My girlfriend hates it when I listen to these lol! The story about the guy who shot the women doesn't make any sense. So there's a dead body in the woods with his brother in law's bullet in it that can be traced back to him??? But they haven't gotten caught yet??? 🤨

Unless you have a gun to compare the bullet to, it isn't a slam dunk. You absolutely NEED to fire the gun with a new bullet to even see if it matches.
Your logic is not, well, logical.
She was more likely a pagan. They really don't deserve to get away with this no matter how "weird" her appearance was to some people who dont understand her or her beliefs.
Why do you think the body can be traced to the brother-in-law and the shooter?

Keeping social media away from children is harder than you think.

Be well.
Love your stories!!! They help me do the household stuff and also sleep at night! Many hugs from Argentina 💋👏👏👏

The psycho girl that was threatening to go to someone else's house to start trouble isn't very smart.
I hope everyone is enjoying this 2023 Holiday Season and I wish y’all a
very Merry Christmas and/or a
Happy Hanukkah! ✝️🎄🕎🎁☃️
