We have had ours for a year and is used on far more occasions now than heavy electric processor. We wash blades in dishwasher ( if hand wash, watch those blades as incredibly sharp) hand wash top and base. Do not submerge top to prevent water ingress, if you do get water inside there is a small vent that can be undone to empty then dry out for a few hours before reattaching vent.
