Thank you for this excellent review and demonstration. With all the cutting and prep of the veggies beforehand, it's convinced me that I really don't need one of these in my life. If I have to do all that prep, I'd just as soon as keep on going and chop it on the board. One board to clean, one knife to clean. Not countless little pieces with extremely dangerous blades. Thank you for helping me make my decision.
I also thank him for the exact same reason. I was wondering if he had to cut it into such small pieces to use the device, why not just keep cutting? I get he's doing a review. Again I thank him for it. Just that I'm looking for something ya can put the whole onion, potato, or whatever in there and have it diced.
Day after Christmas, I’m gearing up to break in my Fullstar veggie cutter my wife gave me as a Christmas present. Mine is the “8 IN 1 ULTIMATE VEGETABLE CHOPPER”. This one did not come with the “useless veggie peeler”. It’s ok, I have a favorite veggie peeler, already. Mine did come with really convenient holding bin/organizer for all the cutting attachments. The bin has mounting grooves on each left and right outer sides to mount the 2 spiraler blades. I love chopping veggies and stuff old school but for consistency in size, and chopping in bulk, like potatoes for a soup or stew, I’ll find great use for the Fullstar Chopper. Thank you so much for dedicating your time to review this. ****WARNING: Blades will slice you with slightest contact!**** 😅
I receive the 4 piece set as a gift. It works for me just when I am making pico de gallo or when I want fine cubes of potatoes, tomatoes, onions or other veggies. I never use the spirilizer.
Wow! This review is incredible. I bought one a day ago and this convinced me to return it. Watching you use the spiralizer gave me anxiety. I thought your fingers were going to get cut. Way too much work and plastic parts. I thought it would be a cleaner way to make salads but you still have to use a cutting board and prep. Thanks for this review!!! Best one the internet.
This helped me realize I cannot julienne my bell pepper and should just do it the old fashioned way, but that I can do my onions. Thanks! That's exactly what I was looking to know.
The mistake with the spiralising is that you're inserting the courgette/zucchini at 45 degrees when it should be 90 degrees (the gripper should be parallel with the top surface). Then there will be much less wastage, or none, if you don't count the bit right under the gripper.
@@gailfillmore6391Definitely wash between cooking sessions. After picking out the food pieces from the push block with the comb it should wash up in the top rack of a dishwasher just fine.
Happy to have stumbled upon this video. I have to agree with BrandaBurl that the 'pre-prep' sort of negates the benefits of this tool. I used it on onion and it was great as no tears shed, but dang did nothing to the garlic but make it stick/shmush on the cutter. I'm thinking next time to sandwich the garlic between the onion and see if I can fool this machine. I'm only 6 minutes into your video but had to comment because at 82 my memory is short. I will continue to watch as I'm sure you will show more tricks that I will make use of. Cheers and best wishes to you all
Right out of the gates I lost interest because the chopper area is so small that it requires you to cut vegs into small chunks to use it. Wouldn't save me enough time to be worthwhile. I'd be interested in a larger version.
thank you for helping me avoid the trouble of ordering through amazon, test it and return it the next day. There's absolutely no way I'd peel and slice my tomato's just to prep them for this thing 😂😂

Hasn't broken yet, and I have been using that method for over 2 years as I have found that a quick force helps the blades cut your vegetables better than slowly added pressure. Just take a look at the struggle I faced when slicing the potatoes for French Fries.

If the beans are dry, I don't think the chopper would be able to cut through them. If the beans were soaked first, then it might work to cut through them, but you might need to place something hard and flat over top of them like a bell pepper as I do for herbs. So I would guess that this device wouldn't be the best for chopping beans.
