Taiko Set II - Powerful Shaolin Kung Fu Music (Mixed by HTH Pictures)

- Alright here it is: the 2nd Taiko Set!
After seeing how many ppl (especially fellow martial artists) enjoyed the first one I wanted to give you guys a completely new set. Thank you for all the encouragement and great stories you've shared!
Unfortunately I was unable to create an entirely new mix with cc-licensed music alone so this Taiko Set is neither public domain nor cc-licensed. You can still use it if you want to but at your own risk.
Also I can't provide any real tracklist because the set is a lot more sampled and mixed than the first one. All I can really tell ou is that I used various tracks and samples from the soundtrack to "Total War: Shogun", "Far Cry 4", "Ninja Assassin", "Mini Ninjas" and performances by various groups who played for the "Taiko pro Series" and some cc-licensed songs by DJ-Rec0il and Jacob Cadmus.

Since many ppl seem to have a problem with me relating a chinese martial art to japanese music I am just gonna pin my opinion on the matter:
You are definitely right in saying that Taiko originated from Japan.
But beeing a Kung Fu practitioner for more than 10yrs now I can safely say that
percussion based music is also related to this (and many other) martial
arts. Maybe not Taiko per se but Taiko-esque. For me these two things,
granted that they originate from different cultures, work really well
together and looking at the comments I don't seem to be the only one
thinking so.
Let me stress again, you are right Taiko is independent to Japan. So why
did I title the video the way I did?
Simply to make sure that the video reached its intended audience and
does not confuse people. Most of the time "Kung Fu music" equals
"Tai Chi music" and this is simply not what most people are looking for.
Really, I am just happy listening to the wonderful quality audio upload.
As important as culture and ancestral respect is, important, too, is the ability sit with things as they are. What this is for me is a high quality mix that required little on my part to part take in, so thank you.
Taiko came from China. People should at least look at wiki before making an opinion. "Taiko have a mythological origin in Japanese folklore, but historical records suggest that taiko were introduced to Japan through Korean and Chinese cultural influence as early as the 6th century CE."

I may not be a practitioner of any form of martial art, but I do carry a deep respect for this. It inspires me nonetheless, and I thank you for going through the effort of putting this together for everyone to experience.

i literally sit down and listen to this and other soundtracks like this for at least 10 minutes before i go off to work, it really puts me in a better mood and let's face it, anyone who's worked retail knows it's a battlefield XD

I just imagine a room full of students and their master training multiple different things in a montage. They're getting ready for a battle unlike any other.

I use this in my workout playlist. Back when I did aikido and jiu jitsu, we had to meditate while we stretched before our sessions. I had to stop my classes because I could no longer afford it, but I still practice what I learned every other day as to not forget.
I haven't felt a state of zen while exercising since taking those classes, until I found this gem

As a 20 year martial arts practitioner this sacred music speaks to me like the very elements themselves speak to nature
No words to describe the awesomeness. I failed at loving drums for so long, but now I can hear them, just as I'm more aware of my life. One must fight to find it's own truth, I believe, in a way that brings peace in sync with the Universe. For that, one can't be satisfied with just doing the minimum.
When I finally recognized the last melody, I got goosebumps and almost cried.

I love Kung Fu/Wushu. Every Saturday I go to classes provided by Bumi Pancasona. Near there somewhere. I have a uniform black, red and white. I also got a white belt

Before I couldn't fight my way out of a wet paper bag. After listening to this I'm now a 4th degree black belt and know 97 of the 99 death touch techniques.
Anyone complaining should be ignored. We don't need to explain ourselves about our own content. We know the intent in what it was made and no one else should matter about your own interpretation.
