+Professor_Dee Beats This repair will follow the same process as the original shocks. Sometimes the new parts may be slightly different than the originals due to design differences, however, this should not affect the installation.
I had to buy new grade 8 pinch bolt and nut at ace hardware because the exposed threads on the old one was not going to let me spin-off the nut even with 600 ft lbs torque impact gun.. the nut corners sheered off ... I was able to get it loose enough to drop out the controls arm from the pinch joint and cut off the bolt with a grinder with a cutting wheel on it... I first tried a Dremel but I would of had to go through maybe 30 little cutting wheel disks... that was before I managed to get the control arm to drop from the pinch joint.. Long story short I'm a broke poor mechanic from trying to fix all thus crap from china
