When walls become portals and _seemingly_ celluloid tape machines continue to operate, while bed linen is crisp and white and water is still potable, I'm sure the thoroughly decimated society had found the means to store an endless supply of electricity, although we see only a small part of the terrain, namely some forest and the co-joined towers.
Alternatively, where, other than the protagonist's, imagination, did the towers manifest from?
If you're going to create towers in your mind you'd surely and equally imagine a source of energy within the towers?

One need not be a film maker in order to recognize nonsensical plots, or incongruent dialogues and actions, or inconsistency in the scenes - just as I do not need to be a licensed medical doctor in order to recognize illogical and blatantly nonsensical claims about health having nothing to do with diet, or a new insufficiently-tested-injection being 'totally safe and 100% effective'' (no such thing as 100% safe and effective exists when administering a substance into a living human organism ), or neither need I be a studied meteorologist in order to comment about the rain outside - no, I do not have my own body of movie-making... but, with just a few minutes of research I strongly suspect I could, if I wanted to, find a good number of reputable film schools to recommend -

Pretty much most things in this were a metaphor for something or other. I'm not the artsy type to say what though. Perhaps the android was a metaphor for the pursuit of pleasures or sin, and the hotel decadence. It causes nothing but ruin in the end. But they rejected all that and chose a life of facing hardshipts head on and traditional family values.

BORE..... ING! hey, i like low/no budget movies, and i often defend them,.but this is fn boring! Acting is ok, location is cool. But.... The guy's hair; is textured n layered! Amd lady's hair has color. Is their a beauty salon in this apocalyptical world?
Lady doesn't know what a fork is,.but knows how to perfectly handle her Bow ( n arrow).
I am half way thru, zero action or drama or slow burn going on even. Maybe the 2nd half catches fire, but ill b pissed either way

Look at, say, for example, some work of Dali.
Surrealism, ie. not to be taken literally.
      Similarly with allegorical works.
      You're welcome. 👍

They were remembering things, even how to turn on lights.
Not a good sign from a mental health perspective...that they'd forgotten so soon, I mean.
He talked of white dust entering buildings, an indication of nuclear fallout, perhaps?
That may have played a part in the memory loss, as could PTSD, considering they appeared to be the only two humans still alive...or were they alive? 🤔

Not really, in the case of the bandage, at least.
Nanotechnology, entering the body, via other means than our current use of intravenous introduction.
The piece of mirror was a metaphor for him returning to the past, I think, reflecting on the self destruction of humankind, due to it's utter reliance on dangerous technology, epitomised by the manic thrashing of the robot.

Has some of the essence of "Lavondyss" or "Murthago Wood". The almost-forgotten earlier times. No names to the faces. Except for one goof (a bit of a magazine) all the lettering was chicken scratch. No dates or times. As if the people are dead, but don't know it.

Hmm… I have definitely come to the conclusion that a large number of those commenting would be more comfortable watching something blown apart with endless pointless chase scenes and gratuitous sex scenes. Short attention span theater for the lowest common denominator (and I have ADHD) Hasn’t anyone ever seen Hitchcock? This movie will stay with me a long time, and probably root around in my subconscious and creep into my dreams. The best ones do.
