🇨🇱👷🏻♂️🚜 Mr. Witt, it is an honor to have your team in my country Chile ✨👍🇨🇱. I have been working at Finning Chile for 17 years and I am proud, it is a great company. My goal is to go to work in Canada. greetings from 🇨🇱✨👍👷🏻♂️
Great video, Aaron and crew. That’s what I did for 21 years of my life is run Caterpillar equipment and loved every minute of it lol. When I was disabled in 94 the biggest truck we had was the 185 ton swivel in the middle cat trucks. You drove them like a 18 wheeler to back them up. Keep up the good work. I look forward to seeing you upload a video. Thanks for sharing!!
with enough batteries they can generate electricity on the way down into the pit and use that on the way out . so the climb only needs the energy for the actual payload plus some energy losses . should save fuel which i bet is a big expense.
Cat actually makes a 995k and isn’t that just a blower motor? Is the braking energy dissipated through a grid box arrangement with the blower motor to cool grids inside box.
798 are really quite incredible, it only has a 85L engine instead of 115L like the 797, but because its electric drive it has a higher payload, (slightly)higher top speed, more torque and its able to use trolley assist systems. you guys been to a mine using trolley assist systems? fuckin incredible things
Beautiful sight!! 👍👍. Any idea what the time frame is from design to engineering to manufacturing to testing to redesign, engineering, manufacturing and final sales of a new CAT haul truck is? How many years is involved from actual design to actual purchase of a new haul truck, gives you an idea how far CAT and other Mining Equipment manufacturers have to plan in the future which will constantly Change due to market conditions and government regulations?
i worked in a coal mine in alberta and we had variable ground conditions but alot of soft ground. we had 785, 1500, 730 and 830 haul tucks. The mechanical drive 1500s where the best overall by far on the inclines and soft ground, 830s where ok and the 730s where shit. the company is slowly switching over to 789 and 793 cause we have had way way more success with mechanical drives
Chile uses lock-out/tag-out differently... everybody puts their lock and name tag on something they are on or a worksite they are near.. like an attendance check.. it's not MSHA.. He's following their site protocol.
But .... But ..... where are the ALL electric haul trucks ???? 😂 These trucks along with our Navy ships will never be electric. But the politicians say .... we will be all electric. 😂😂😂😂😂 Another great video.
That has to be some incredibly strong welding to hold the 2 halfs of the 798s dump box together considering the amount of punishment they will take for year's to come. 🎉
Longer and more in depth videos would be nice for those of us who have attention spans. 🤙
Yeah but some of us don't have attention whatever I forgot...😅

Canada is in need of skill trades people.
Stay out of Canada for now. Trudeau is a tyrant.
Cat is always Cat
This is as big as it gets for Caterpillar. The Lieberherr T284 has more Payload
Actually according to CAT’s website the just came up with a CAT 995K

real shame they arent quite yet able to fit big(or i guess powerful enough) batteries to do regen braking, thats 5500hp in hold back power
Big fan to cool the dynamic braking resistors like diesel trains....
Big Thank You to Finning for allowing a peek behind the curtain.
995 is now the largest loader cat makes, we have one on order to replace one of our L1850's

The hauling truck I drove in a rock quarry as a college kid would fit within the bed of the Cat 798
That cat 798 was bigger than my whole house 😂
Great video. It's good to see the latest heavy equipment again since my retirement from engineering. Keep up the good work Mr Witt.
Do you think that the electric drive would be easier on brakes going down grades due to more hold back ?
Likely as EVs wear brakes much slower than vehicles without regen braking.
Like a locomotive.
This channel makes me feel like I'm 8 years old:)
Seeing those fully loaded trucks in side profile had me check the aspect ratio of my monitor - this always looks comically squished... 😁😁😁😜
Wow.. La Negra has really grown since I was last there in 2005. Built and commissioned drilling rigs for Bucyrus, en route to Escondida.
The 994k isnt the biggste anymore its the 995K right? 3:40
Interesting...Hott-Dogg operation they have going there in, Chile.
Love this song
Wish 2 meet site like this ...very interesting as excavator opreta! Nice clip quite explained mate
Price ?
The BelAZ 75710 has 450 t Payload.

Bro, will you film a video to talk about XCMG XDE440 Haul Truck (short ton 440)

Our site in NT is building a 995 Wheel Loader. It’s massive.
The largest Cat wheel loader is now the 995. Cat has done away with the letter designation.
It’s called a body not bed for mining trucks
I would like to see how that truck is chained down to the trailer.
Still in Chile? Let me know you are more than welcome to visit my city
That thing seems to be very similar to a locomotive.
Why does the thumbnail mislead so? Or do they transport those things with a full load on...?
they transport them whole
@AaronWitt whole and fully loaded if they're 650 ton on the transporter lol. Love ya vids anyway man, some cool stuff
Nice and informative content. Thank you 😊
My inner middle schooler giggled at 8:36 lol
Your at the what…….??????? Facility
Сколько такой стоит!
Hey mate cat has made a 995k loader now
He seems to get access to mines and facilities, but he doesn't appear to know much about any of it.
What do you know ...
Only one way to learn boss!!
Like a safety officer?
You are an jealous idiot
Did you miss the first 5 minutes of
Him giving nothing but information?

Great video, thank you but how long did it take to drive the camper there on your road trip? Merry Christmas Aaron!!
do they have drive by wire?
they have shown fully autonomous before.

Seeing that wheel dozer is like a mythical creature I've heard stories but never actually seen a new one
At 4:27 that’s straight up MSHA violation right there. Maybe not Argentina, but he’s been to enough mines in the US he should know better.

Exactly, I'm wondering what these politicians have planned for all of the gas and diesel powered equipment and vehicles .
Electric drive motors, same as locomotives, but the power is from large diesel engines. Thus the usual description “diesel electric”.
What do you mean never, you guys had electric subs and aircraft carriers for decades
