Urusei Yatsura Ranma 1/2 and Maison Ikkokku
I agree, I would only add city hunter and Cobra. Rumiko Takahashi was killing the 80s with Urusei Yatsura, Maison Ikkoku and Ranma 1/2, and Urusei Yatsura is my all time favorite, then Ranma 1/2 and City Hunter are my top 3 no matter if it's an opening or closing theme, ova theme, they're all so gooooooood!
And it's not technically 80s but Lupin part 2 carried into 1980 and the Op and Closing themes are so good
The best of the Saint seiya, City Hunter, Hokuto no Ken, Ranma1/1, Dragon BallZ, Macross, Voltron, to be perfect just missing, Zillion, Commando Dulbock, Galaxy Rangens!!
Thank you! Exactly my thoughts! I've seen most of these animes but after 2000's, City Hunter being a favorite of mine, besides Saint Seiya, Dragon Ball, Dragon Quest, Shurato, Patlabor, Ranma and others. Voltron was the first anime i've watched, back in late's 80s... good times :')

9:57 I love Lupin the Third, and part 3 is my favorite of the bunch. While most people dislike it because of the pastel colors and silly art style, I find it fitting because of the decade’s fashion. The theme song “Sexy Adventure” is such a bop! In fact, my profile pic is Inspector Zenigata from part 3!

I'm glad Ginga Nagareboshi Gin was also in this list, because that was first "adult" anime what I saw when I was 6 year old.
You probably think GNG is just silly kids anime but NO. There was lot of gore and blood you never see in kid friendly anime.
Also, I really like there was also many anime in list what I use to watch as a kid. Like Nils no Fushigi na Tabi, Meitantei Holmes, Ahiru no Kwak
& Lady Lady.
