  • Ingredients:
    A cup of pitted dates soaked for an hour in a cup of water

    Dates can be replaced with molasses, adding water in the recipe gradually to get the right texture
    Mix a cup of whole wheat flour with dates
    Leave for a quarter of an hour until the flour absorbs liquids
    half a teaspoon of yeast to + quarter cup of water
    Teaspoon cardamom
    Half a teaspoon of salt
    Tablespoon sugar
    2 cups bread flour No. 1
    Two tablespoons of powdered milk (optional) to give a delicious flavor to bread
    Pinch of ground anise (optional)
    Two tablespoons of oil
    Leave the dough to ferment for two hours
    Divided and shaped into 6 balls
    Rub them with oil and let them rest for 20 minutes
    Sesame
    Roll out the dough half a cm thick and leave to rest for 20 min

    Half a teaspoon of crushed cardamom
    1 cup whole wheat flour/140g
    1 cup all-purpose flour / 140g
    Half a cup of bread flour No. 1 / 70 g
    Two tablespoons of oil
    Only white flour can be used
    The amount of flour can be increased by one to two tablespoons, and this depends on the density of the molasses used
    The dough should be of medium density and cohesive so that it is easy to spread during formation
