Hi there. Have they chacked the connection on the plug first? Also have they had a look at the throttle body itself to see if its not blocked up or seizing up? I recommend checking the wiring on it and getting voltage reading to see if its getting feed and 5v signal. If its not getting 5v signal to throttle body that can be due to many different things including broken wires. Once I had one that had an issue with A/C sensor on the condenser that had humidity in it and was messing up the whole system and not providing enough voltage.
Hey buddy. I am having this p0120 throttle position switch A circuit malfunction and p1525 air bypass valve system.. would this the fault at the pedal accelerator? Ever since carrying out a clutch job.. ive had injector circuit malfunction on injector 1 3 4. Injecto 2 was replaced last year with new one. Abs wheel speed sensor fault on front right and the 2 left right rear sensor which is causing check hill start assist.. prior to clutch job car ran daily normal.. thats why all these faults are very random
@AlexTheGrumpyOne your on the right path bud. I thought exactly the same.. i cleaned up all my abs wheel speed sensors today wen i was rotating the tyres and lord n behold there was rocks and wood sitting in the nooks next to the ring that holds the sensor i guess just rocks rattling around cause enuff movement to throw off the sensors reading.. we shall see for now if light stays off. New issue today is my canbus is faulty causing me to unable to ready obd2 codes.. the only ground i can see that i know of that i removed during clutch job was the ground on the TL4 gearbox.. other than that i didnt touch any other ground
mine has done this a couple of times now and i have a scanner and originally it came up with P0790 generic code then 2 weeks later it gave me P0225/switch c, i wiggled the connector under the steering column and the electrical fault light went out, which could be a coincidence, but could it be that bit of wiring and not the pedal itself? don't want to change the pedal and still have the fault, and was just wondering if i check the wiring over properly and the fault goes away i may save myself from changing the pedal. thanks
Yes you can also use diagnostic tool to check the values and percentage of the movement and what voltage it's sending out and getting in. Then if you get wiring diagram you can check all the wires and voltages and resistance and etc to make sure it's the sensor or not. French cars are always mad... You can't just assume that it's the sensor. Once I had fault like that caused by air con pressure sensor... I know doesnt make any sense... But it's French:(
