    Hi Alex! I’ve had the same problem with p0220 along with p1046 and p100B. Do you think this indicates a problem with the pedal itself or the wiring around it? The car also goes into limp mode and the warning light for electrical malfunction pops up as well. Thanks!

      It's hard to tell unfortunately. I would look at the plugs for any corrosion first though

    Hi Alex I have a p0638 code bank 1 throttle position sensor.Put it in garage they changed the throttle body and are still trying to repair it 3 days later I m still waiting.You any ideas a Clio campus 1.2 petrol 2008 model was ok until I changed the battery as it sat in the drive for a while and needs a battery.What do you recommend.

    • @AlexTheGrumpyOne
      @AlexTheGrumpyOne  3 года назад

      Hi there. Have they chacked the connection on the plug first? Also have they had a look at the throttle body itself to see if its not blocked up or seizing up?
      I recommend checking the wiring on it and getting voltage reading to see if its getting feed and 5v signal. If its not getting 5v signal to throttle body that can be due to many different things including broken wires.
      Once I had one that had an issue with A/C sensor on the condenser that had humidity in it and was messing up the whole system and not providing enough voltage.

    Hey buddy. I am having this p0120 throttle position switch A circuit malfunction and p1525 air bypass valve system.. would this the fault at the pedal accelerator? Ever since carrying out a clutch job.. ive had injector circuit malfunction on injector 1 3 4. Injecto 2 was replaced last year with new one. Abs wheel speed sensor fault on front right and the 2 left right rear sensor which is causing check hill start assist.. prior to clutch job car ran daily normal.. thats why all these faults are very random

    • @AlexTheGrumpyOne
      @AlexTheGrumpyOne  6 месяцев назад

      Hmm. I would have a look at your ground connections to the gearbox and the engine. To see if the system is not having voltage and load issues

    • @A-DUBCLUB
      @A-DUBCLUB 6 месяцев назад

      @AlexTheGrumpyOne your on the right path bud. I thought exactly the same.. i cleaned up all my abs wheel speed sensors today wen i was rotating the tyres and lord n behold there was rocks and wood sitting in the nooks next to the ring that holds the sensor i guess just rocks rattling around cause enuff movement to throw off the sensors reading.. we shall see for now if light stays off. New issue today is my canbus is faulty causing me to unable to ready obd2 codes.. the only ground i can see that i know of that i removed during clutch job was the ground on the TL4 gearbox.. other than that i didnt touch any other ground

    mine has done this a couple of times now and i have a scanner and originally it came up with P0790 generic code then 2 weeks later it gave me P0225/switch c, i wiggled the connector under the steering column and the electrical fault light went out, which could be a coincidence, but could it be that bit of wiring and not the pedal itself? don't want to change the pedal and still have the fault, and was just wondering if i check the wiring over properly and the fault goes away i may save myself from changing the pedal. thanks

    • @AlexTheGrumpyOne
      @AlexTheGrumpyOne  5 лет назад +1

      Yes you can also use diagnostic tool to check the values and percentage of the movement and what voltage it's sending out and getting in. Then if you get wiring diagram you can check all the wires and voltages and resistance and etc to make sure it's the sensor or not. French cars are always mad... You can't just assume that it's the sensor. Once I had fault like that caused by air con pressure sensor... I know doesnt make any sense... But it's French:(

    the following codes popped up p0121 p0120 p0200 p0220 p0225. car does start battling to idle and doesnt rev up at all. accelerator pedal works on cable then connects to an electric switch that pulses to the throttle body. could it be a cause of a bad throttle body? seems like all the codes refers to the throttle body?

      ok after giving the inside and the contacts a good clean the vehicle seemed to run a little bit better but still feels jerky, might be because I opened the sensor without labelling it on the sides so the wires that makes contact inside don't feel right next bet I'm thinking of replace the part also I don't know if that helps cleat the code but I waited for 5 minutes after taking of the positive terminal from the battery, but still same problem.
