Update: I found a video on Gempler's RUclips channel, and I'm doing things correctly, but the cylinder is just plain stuck. Many other people are having the same problem, and they recommend using a heat gun to warm the plastic around the cylinder. I'll give it a shot and the video will be out shortly 😐 The kit I use can be found here: Solo-K Piston Sprayer Pump Repair Kit -- amzn.to/2DbLfrK

The whole piston cylinder and pressure compartment are all one piece...and comes out as one piece with only an o-ring seal between the outside of the piston cylinder/pressure compartment assembly AND the tank.

So when I take my pressure compartment/piston cylinder out there is a little Philips screw up inside the piston cylinder that holds a rubber grommet in place above the piston. There is also a rubber piece inside the pressure compartment flopping around. If the piston cylinder and pressure compartment do not come apart, how do you replace whatever that rubber piece is inside the pressure compartment?

If you’re using powder use a diaphragm pump not a piston. Less wear and tear

Correct. I picked up one of them for the wettable powders and use this one for liquids now.

When you say plumber's grease do you mean high vacuum silicon grease? I would recommend that far over vaseline especially with plastic parts. Also not a bad idea to have some PB loosener on hand for rusted stuff then after cleaning, a nice good coat of WD. Actually, I've been thinking a spray coat of EZ-slide by Van Sickle ( a graphite based coating ) used by farmers for the obvious rust prevention plus it makes slick surfaces too. Anyway, I have a pump sprayer similar to this one. Not sure of the brand. It's definitely more of a commercial model and it's probably at least 20 years old. I have the same issue...no pressure...I put a different wand on it but I didn't really expect that to fix the issue. I've never cracked into one of these puppies before even though I worked in carpet and floor cleaning. Never had to do the maintenance. Hopefully I can find new gaskets for the inner workings if I need them. So, Thanks for your video! I think it helped me see through the mud! 😁💥💯💥👌👍👊💪🤙
