    Saw the Vasa last year. I was told I couldn't leave Stockholm without seeing it. I still wasn't prepared for how amazing it is.

      Hi, they sure are. I can’t imagine how much work went into them all. Fortunately they were held on by iron nails. When the ship sank, the nails rusted thru, and the carvings fell into the mud which helped preserve them so we can admire them today. If the Vasa hadn’t sunk as it did, it would have ended up being just another ship that served and was repurposed or destroyed in the end and we would never have seen it.       Hi, thank you. It’s always a challenge to know when to go short and sweet and when to go more into detail. This ship is so amazing that I thought it deserved longer and more detail. I’m glad you liked it and let me know.
