Cool video. Have to say, I don't agree with a lot on this list though: - The last Arrows actually had a lot of potential and was coming on strong until they had to pull out. That car's got to be way, way higher than 105 - I think the 2003 Jordan was way worse and a dog of a car than the 2005. The 2003 Jordan was almost certainly their worst ever car - I probably would have put the Honda RA107 a touch worse (but in the same general area as you) - I think both 2000 and 2001 Prosts maybe a little worse - The BAR 005 should be better - The 2002 Renault should have been ranked quite a bit higher than the 2001 - The 2000 and 2001 Jordans should be better. - The 2002 Sauber should be worse than the 2001 - The 2004 Sauber should be wayyy better - Renault R27 should be a tiny bit worse After that, I got tired and skipped to the top 10, lol - I think one can argue the 2005 and 2006 Renaults being ranked higher than the Ferrari F2001 and F2003-GA. The F2001 dominated some days but other days was really behind lots of cars (probably due to Michelin superiority that day/weekend). The F2001 and F2003-GA - probably because of tyres - weren't dominant cars like people tend to think. They had dominant days/weekends but other times were not great (probably due to Michelin superiority that day/weekend). It was only 2002 and 2004 that Ferrari truly had overall dominant cars. If we're talking about the car as a whole - which means tyres too - I think the F2001 and possibly the F2003-GA should maybe even be lower than the Brawn car. 2001 and 2003 seasons could have been very different for Ferrari if it wasn't for McLaren and Williams and even their drivers (Montoya VS Ralf) all taking points off each other VS Ferrari. I think one can argue the 2005 and 2006 Renaults being ranked higher than the F2001 and F2003-GA - Maybe the 2000 Mac should have been a little higher? It and the Ferrari in 2000 traded blows on which car was the best. I still think overall the Mac was faster but had worse reliability - it should have been closer to the F2000 in the rankings - I'd have to maybe say the F2008 was better than the F2007. The F2008 was slightly shorter wheelbase (F2007 was a little too long sometimes) and managed the tyre heat-up / temp issues (too cool, or too long/difficult to fully heat up) better than the F2007 but this is a really tough one to decide on. I often wonder, if it wasn't for the tyres, could the 2001, 2003, and 2005 Ferraris have been dominant like the 2002 and 2004? There were one or two years with Trulli and Ralf in the Toyota doing great. I think it was 2005 and 2006. I would agrue that there is a case to be made for the F2002 being better than the F2004. Yes the F2004 was the fastest ever F1 car until the 2017-2021 cars and is arguably more iconic but the F2002 just gives me such a relentless vibe. It's prettier imo, and the fact that Schumacher finished every single race on the podium can only be described as f**king insane. Also it came first, which matters imo. It was the first time that Ferrari got a car so absolutely spot on. The F2002 may have had a more consistent year than the F2004 driving wise which may be flatter it a bit in my eyes, but the truth you can't go wrong with either. Both definitely are amongst the top 10 best F1 ever and easily Ferrari's best ever cars.
Imagine the BAR 007 was as good a Chassis as the 006 with its insane 965hp engine. Button would have been a title contender. And no the MP4/20 didn't have the most powerful engine on the Grid. Honda and Toyota had more power.
While I understand why the 2004 Ferrari was ahead of the 2002 car, in my view, based on the results, in my view, I would put them the other way round. It's one thing to finish every race in a season, another thing entirely to score points in every race, but to finish on the podium every race, that's insane. The only one to come close to that was Max Verstappen in 2023, where he only finished off the podium once all year (in Singapore with a fifth place finish).
Disagree with the placement of the sauber c20 honestly, seems far too low for what was the best car to come out of Hinwil without any major manufacturer backing. I'd swap it with the c23 in the order of the list.
Finally someone made a ranking of which F1 car was the best not who is the best or which current team is the best because I never seen someone making rankings for the F1 cars as a video.
"Masss was the main victim of Renault's shenanigans in Singapore" well, that's a weird way to say to Ferrari fucked up his pit stop lol, nevertheless what happened in the track, the only one who deserved the blame for that fucked up pit stop is the Ferrari, if they dont fuck up that stop, Massa is the champion in the end

@@MEGATBLAZER Agreed completely...though I have to say 2021 was the best season in F1 since 2012, so there is hope that 2020s turn out much better than 2010s overall
I'm gonna be honest I could count on 1 hand the amount of times in the year 2000 when the Ferrari were quicker than the McLaren and I think Schumacher was major difference that year when watching it back. 2006, Half the season saw Renault with a comfortable advantage then it flipped back to Ferrari in the second half of the year, but gap gradually closed in that later stages, so I would of edged it to the Renault car on balance. Still an interesting list regardless and it showcases an era where Ferrari were incredibly competent with the likes of Ross Brawn, Jean Todt and Michael Schumacher in the car was a great combination to have at the helm.
You know f1 man. Like seriously you know your shit, most people would blindly rank the 2008 McLaren over the 2007 one because it won the title but that 2007 was so so good. My favorite f1 car ever, shame Alonso lost the title. Anyways mate, awesome video as per usual, keep it up mate!
It is of my opinion that the Renault R27 was every bit as good as the R26 and could've won races and fought for the championship but it was let down by the drivers. Fisichella and Kovaleinen were two drivers who were pretty quick and solid but nowhere near good enough to consistently challenge for wins. Had Alonso stayed at renault for 2007, he probably would've still been in a close title battle
F60 at 27th is wild! Car was aerodynamically inefficient and even Michael Schumacher refused to drive it because he said it was undriveable. He would’ve replaced Massa
I always found the 2000 Ferrari to be a gorgeous car, and was happy to see Michael and co. manage to elevate the team to championship status. The dominant '04 one too, beautiful. Such a shame that the '07 McLaren has a tainted legacy, what a year that was!

You know the cars are too good if they have they have special tires to stop them going even faster
Bmw 2008 was Beautiful
I´m sry but the Mp4/22 is not even close to the top 3
I really like the fact that you recognize almost all the drivers, even in the "worst" cars. So many drivers seems to have been successful or semi-semisuccessful throughout this era.
Yup back when top 6 and top 8 could score points
Again a great video. If you get more views than usual. I linked your channel in my end screens. ;)
Monteiro nabbing a point at Spa meant Jordan would have won the 2005 backmarker battle anyway even without Indy.
Go ahead, put some more salt in my wounds 🥺🥺🥺. Forza Minardi!!!
Only just found your channel and I have to say I am very impressed by the research and quality of your videos. You would deserve a lot more subscribers. Keep working hard mate, you have a lot of potential
A lot of work and research has gone into this video, thank you!
I look forward to rankings for the 80's and '90's cars 😊
56:22 I think you meant 'lost out to Renault'
2004 BAR honda took Pole Position at imola with JB. But you wrote at the table "poles: 0" 😮 45:34
You know a car (Toyota) is shit when Allan McNish can't score a point and almost kills himself trying.
I really want a top f1 cars of the 1990s now
Finally someone made a ranking of which F1 car was the best not who is the best or which current team is the best because I never seen someone making rankings for the F1 cars as a video.
Basically if you want to maximise your car, get Alonso in it.
I love this channel ♡ However the Prost AP04 should have statistically been ranked much lower
I just came across this. Amazing content this channel deserves more subs. 👏
This is so cool , hope there will be a ranking about 90's F1 . keep on and great channel
Peter you should do Ranking every car from the 80s and 90s. Does You Tube do 40hrs Videos.
Would love to see where EuroBrun or a Life goes
That will come in due course!
Or the beautiful Colonis 😍
The Spyker F8-VII main highlight was Albers exiting the pits with the fuel hose still attached.
That's the shortest 1 hour I've ever gone through. Brilliant content man!
Do you plan on doing this video based on the 2010s?
I did last year! ruclips.net/video/QtFvH9FwKG4/видео.html
56:24 they lost to Renault not Ferrari !
Found your channel recently and been absolutely binge watching your stuff. Great insight and facts and stories I've never heard anywhere else. Here for the long haul 👍
The F2002 should be nr.1. It was the foundation of the F2004
do cars from the 1990s
Going through the first roughly 20 on the list.....2001/2002/2003 were some bad years. xD
14:10 'Be on Edge
How am I just seeing these videos now!? Where have you been all my life!? I'm already subbed now but dude thank you for these 👌
I think this is the most beloved era of formula 1 beside the 90 era.
Yep
@@fqeagles21 best decades for F1: 2000s, 90s, early 2010s and 1980s
@@MEGATBLAZER Agreed completely...though I have to say 2021 was the best season in F1 since 2012, so there is hope that 2020s turn out much better than 2010s overall
There's something about your voice that I find so calming, i listen to these videos while I study and I love it thank you so much
18:30
You’re welcome ;)
So many beauties such as Arrows A22, Prost AP04, Minardi M02, Minardi PS01, and Ferrari F1-2000!
Yessssss! I was waiting for this video
Anything was possible with Kimi driving the MP4-20…
You know f1 man. Like seriously you know your shit, most people would blindly rank the 2008 McLaren over the 2007 one because it won the title but that 2007 was so so good. My favorite f1 car ever, shame Alonso lost the title. Anyways mate, awesome video as per usual, keep it up mate!
I don't like the MCL 2008 Nose but good car
It is of my opinion that the Renault R27 was every bit as good as the R26 and could've won races and fought for the championship but it was let down by the drivers. Fisichella and Kovaleinen were two drivers who were pretty quick and solid but nowhere near good enough to consistently challenge for wins. Had Alonso stayed at renault for 2007, he probably would've still been in a close title battle
F60 at 27th is wild! Car was aerodynamically inefficient and even Michael Schumacher refused to drive it because he said it was undriveable. He would’ve replaced Massa
31:49 The 21st century actually started in 2001, not 2000. Other than that, great video as always. Waiting for you to dig into the 90s :D
I always found the 2000 Ferrari to be a gorgeous car, and was happy to see Michael and co. manage to elevate the team to championship status. The dominant '04 one too, beautiful.
Such a shame that the '07 McLaren has a tainted legacy, what a year that was!
Another wonderful informative video !
V10s yes please !
As Mary Hopkin once sang
Those were the days my friend we thought they'd never end !
Thanks a lot 😊
Nice video mate, you shure put a lot o work and search in this
I really disagree. The Ferrari F2002 should be #1 and the F2004 2nd. Both cars were used at the first few races of the next season, yes... but the F2002 won a race. Di the F2004 win a race in 2005?
1:09:25 Basically explains the 2023 red bull. As annoying as it can be to watch, let’s be honest, only the 2002 & 2004 cars could be classed as on par with this absolute monster. It will go down as possibly the greatest f1 car ever made.
Amen
Good video. The 2000s were a great decade for F1 and the 2000 Mclaren MP4-15 is my favourite car from that era. I have to disagree on the placement of a few cars though
dam i wish toyota didn’t leave they gave us a lot of great memories
Prost might've been a dud of a car but the colour makes it an all time favorite of mine. Close second is the special burgundy Ferrari they raced for an anniversary.
Funny How Steve Bracks then Premier poses in front of a F1 Minardi car like he likes top speed cars and proud to have the grand prix to generate revenue and then he was the one to introduce Victoria to become the Nanny state with his over the top road rules and drop of speed limits for revenue raising speed cameras.
the jaguar r5 is probably the prettiest car of the noughties. that or the arrows a23. like that girl you see at the airport
Am I the only one to find it an irony of fate, that a guy named Speed didn't have the speed to be successful in F1?
your channel is blowing up dude, keep up the great work!
you should not mention mp4-22, disqualified car
Real hot, very good top 20 by the way!!
rs24 renault is my favorite, from the year before the championships
Those tiny, narrow cars were the best F1 cars in my opinion. Fastest ever racecars in F1.
The F2004 was a cheat code lmfao
Someone finally pronounced Zsolt's name correctly
Glad to see the lowest a Williams BMW ranked was the top 50 😁
248 F1 unbelievably overrated in this list
