I had the pleasure to testdrive one and I must say I’ve been impressed. Good quality, nice range and excellent on the road. I’m not sure why someone gives a negative reaction on this car without ever having a drive with it. Of course it’s not yet perfect, but what is. Look at what you get, including the warranty. It has no glove box, but it has enough places to put your stuff away. For me that’s not the most important to complain about. Anyhow, nice to see an honest review. And I agree that most don’t need the AWD-version 👍
The Bz4x is a good bev with a small battery pack, 10 years warranty and real world range 400km, what is wrong with that???? Nothing! We have a business fleet with several Tesla's, good Bev, but worst possible quality. We have a new Bz4x bought recently, far better build quality, far better service, far better warranty and 400km range in summer. That's good!
I know for certain it hasn’t got a glove box, and I don’t think it has an essential rear wiper either. There is an inaccessible space under the buttons in the centre console thingy, and overall, it is deeply unimpressive.
What took Vanarama such a long time to release this? It was filmed in winter! Anyway, I just don't understand why Toyota releases a car without a glovebox. So where do I store the 4 inch thick manual, and my gloves? 🤪
I have noticed a few new cars, that don’t have glove boxes. Is that a new trend? The range is very poor. I live in the Midlands, so any trip to the coast will be over 150 miles, return journey. In fact it is over that, just to get to the south coast. So not very practical for day trips, with the family.
This was filmed in the dead of winter (you can see the frost on the windscreen and also snow on the roadside hedges), so the range was severely impacted. I expect it will do over 200 miles easily in current weather conditions.
@@TL-xw6fhSo the Aircon won’t draw any extra power? I am sure there will always be an excuse, for poor range figures. Besides, we didn’t have a particularly hard winter, this year. The temperature rarely dropped below zero. Plus the fact, the battery is preheated.
@@Steve-Cross The aircon does not require as much energy to reduce the air temperature compared to heating the air. This is because we will cool the temperature from say 25C ambient to 18C ambient (a 7C reduction) compared to having to increase the temperature from say 4C to 22C in winter (18C increase). Heat pumps are less efficient at lower temperatures and the resistance heating system need to work in tandem when temperatures are too low to accelerate the rate of heating (that is why home air source heat pumps need to work 24/7). Hope that helps.
hmm, I wanted to like it, but i don't. Somehow Toyota looked at VW and said "Can we make it more bland as usual?" , and they did it. Whole ID range looks garbage, and Toyota made VW more appealing- that said Mark snazzy wardrobe didn't helped selling us such uneventful design.
A bit of colour variation in the cabin might be nice. Mark please get a job in automobile interior design, we need someone with your sense of style to liven things up a bit. 👍
Toyota's phoned-in crossover EV Wouldn't want to touch that when Hyundai's Prius-shape Ioniq has long since been made the affordable, practically and efficient electric family car.
@@toyotaprius79 i wouldnt ascribe malice. Unlike most automakers Toyota has a global presence and has perspective on these things. EV's right now are a novelty for the mainly well off who either dont go out for long distances or have a second ICE car for such trips. Its why their R&D spend has been on hybrids because they are a step in the right direction emissions wise and they are cheaper to build than EV's which means more people can actually afford them.
Was re-watching your older videos and was happy to see a new one 😊
More positive review than many.

Saw one on the road the other day looked great

As an electric car, its there, if you really want a Toyota badge on a EV.
For those gullible enough to not be aware of Toyota's bad blood and poor R&D with EVs
