"Unit 1a" is a nice coffee shop owned by my good buddy. Stop in there for a brew and ask for Nico.
@regularguy Scotty Boy, Scott-aroni I can't find any information on your new travel brown/tam backpack.
Can you tell us what backpack you're using?
Well well well if it isn't Tim K of southern Leyte. 🍺
Hi Scott, Ana the rice farmer from Alangalang, wants to know what's the brand name of your backpack. She wants to buy one just like it.
Cheers Mate! 🤠🍻👍🏻
@@RainTide_SurfTim K🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
@blackwoodrichmore4531 then let her ask, she's big girl!
As sort of a WW II buff, one of the first recreational books read in high school was "The battle of Leyte Gulf". Now, we can see exactly the area for which it was fought. Beautiful area.
wrong side of the island - Tacloban is where MacArthur made the famous landing.
Scotty Boy. It looks like you are on an endless quest through the Philippines to find something. What that something is, I have no idea. I'm getting dizzy from watching you travel all around the Philippines like a chicken with your head cut off. Lol!!! I like the videos when you're sitting at a bar all day streaming or recording people going by.
Something tells me he's going from one handful to the next.
@@jimalvir5866 Yes. He's constantly on the run. Like he's trying to run away from the law. Maybe Scotty Boy is really an internationally wanted criminal. Lol!!!
I think Scott has a severe case of ADHD
His goal of being a RUclipsr.
@@jimalvir5866something tells me that too lol
I REALLY LIKE THE WAY YOU ARE DEALING WITH THE LOCALS. GOOD ON YOU!
Hey man I love the locals and a compliment goes along way
he's just using them for view.
"Everyone I own in one backpack" Lol! Most unfortunate autocorrect in the history of the Phils.
It took me four reads to understand what went wrong with the autocorrect. I must say…those he own are quite tiny.
@@WilliamFluery "He be happy to owns nothing"...lol
Maybe a serial k???? 😮
Nah, more like a cereal k@@RetirePhilippines
Hahah took me 5 reads to see the correction
The slow motion / freeze frame makes me laugh each time.😅😅 Scotty, stop messing around and get back to Ana.
Are you nuts ? she's as mad as a cut snake .
TOTALLY... 18, REMEMBERED UR Y.T. CHANNEL NAME AND FLIPPED HER HAIR BEHIND HER EAR...
Love how u put into slow motion the female passers by and we can see their cute faces making a scowl at ol’ Scotty boy..
Well, Scotty boy, I am completely enjoying the new more soft-spoken patient man that you are becoming. Enjoying your videos. Keep up the good work.
16:41 -- You sure do know how to pick them! LOL I doubt very seriously his parents named him, "Janella!" Reminds me of your other friend, on another one of your trips. "Romar" I think his, er, her name was!
15:43 I discovered Lanzones on Bohol a yr and a half ago @ 180p/kg and became my favorite fruit I’m guessing Leyte is getting the same Camaguin variety and I’d be all over them, especially @ 100p. Reminds me, in Davao you can get their varieties for just 50p/ kg!
16:06 Roy, I think old SB complimented Janella to help shut up his friends who were teasing him for speaking English and with a foreigner. I could be wrong but I doubt it.
I have been on Leyte five years. Nice people and a good place to live.
Good video
Scotty Boy: I like the way you do your restaurant and hotel reviews. A few well chosen words gets the point across without being nasty. You are a diplomat.
😂 I love it how you pause the video to show us the reactions of the locals!
The screeching metal gate is the perfect sound for the beginning of a horror hotel scene.
The town seems smaller and quiet, people riding bikes instead of all on scooters
'The drink was the highlight' ouch. Up there with Seinfeld Elaine's 'I mentioned the bisque' lol
Ha!
Scotty, that meal looked delicious. By the way, I’ve been watching you from the beginning & your videos have only gotten better. Keep enjoying the adventure!
The man, the myth the legend, the Regular Guy, it’s Scotty boy! Keep up the great work my friend.
“You’re a good girl” 😂😂😂😂
Now that was the absolute best laugh I have had in several years😂😂😂. A pure "Larry David" moment: "You're a good girl!"
Who in their right mind would say that? Scotty boy, that's who, the Larry David of the Philippines vloggers!!
Redo that as a short and it will get a million views. 😂😂
One other bit of advice, forget "the good girl" and hightail it back to "the farm girl," wake up Scotty!!!
Hi Scotty .. hope you are feeling better .. question: what is taking so long for the bike? Stay safe.
Travelling with just a backpack is great. Spent all of July 2022 travelling around the Philippines with my Osprey Farpoint 40. It's carry on size but also converts into a duffle back so you don't need to worry about the straps when not needed. Only hard thing was keeping my crap to under 7.5kg for carry on when taking flights. I now take a bag for checked luggage as well to deal with liquids and stuff but still love my Opsrey. Also have Opsprey day pack which can fold up and fit in your pocket as well as my Osprey Stratos which I only use for hiking here in Oz.
I like your approach to this series. Letting us know clearly where you are and if you would want to retire there. Your answer at the end was good for a chuckle. 😅
As a former tour bus operator we always joked about the first 10' is the impact zone.
yeah, everything in one backpack scott, you got things right on. you have your two arms free at the same time. i like to have a smaller backpack to use when i've settled in somewhere. i take all my essentials in the smaller backpack for day to day travelling. things like hand wash, wet wipes, tissues, insect repellent, sunscreen, etc.
Remember "Then Came Bronson". You just need that scooter.😂
Michael Parks
I remember it well, “where ya headed, wherever I end up I guess”.
Michael Parks of the Philippines...Then came Stevie.
Scotty, good to see you are on the move again. Always great to see your travels. Great job. Great vids.
3 bdr 2 bath townhouse can be rented for 10k a month in Palompon. The cinema in Robinson's in Ormoc is very modern and good theater. 250 pesos for a movie, popcorn cheap
do you live in palompon? how is the dating scene here, being a small town and all.
Hi 👋 BROROONIE. Looks like a quiet sleepy town. Hotel girls are cute 🥰. Ladyboy had the HOTTS for you I think 🤔 Soon you will travel in style on your own. Safe travels 🙏. Hope to catch your next livestream 👍.
Blessings 🙏🌸🌺🌼
I really appreciate the map graphics and repeats it helps me TY
Scotty Boy, it's good to see you back in PHP!!!
What’s best practice traveling with enough cash to have a good time but. But not so much you’re at risk.
I’m not a budget traveler, but I’m not reckless either. Headed to Leyte area in a few month’s.
What is the temperature like this time of year, walking around outside in Palompon? It looks beautiful, but I've heard that it is very hot.
I was in Tacloban, (not far away weatherwise) in an October. I would describe the heat as BLISTERINGLY INTENSE, at times. Like being hit with a thousand little darts of pain.
Thank you for showing us around the country 👍
Thank you for the great vlog! As always, super fascinating to see what the town is like!
Recently discovered your channel. Better than average 👍😊
Wow!!! Thank you Neil
Hey Scotty, bring back the infamous alter ego Scott Chocolate.
Your content is original & entertaining.
@@TRUMP1-xw8kx that was a story about a guy with that name, lol.
It was not a story about Scotty.
Sarcasm will get you everywhere Mr. Scotty Sir 😁😛 Seriously though keep up the great work
Thanks for sharing Scotty Boy🎉 😎
I love Ormoc, I was there in December for four days. I go there every time I'm in the Philippines to see my fiancée family. They come in from the island of Poro in the Comotes Islands. We stay at Fans Hotel because it has the biggest hotel room in Ormoc, it's a big two bedroom suite and I can fit her family of four in there plus us and we have or own room with a really nice queen bed as good as a Marriot bed. Definitely hit the big outdoor market next to the port.
Poro is 10 million times better than Ormoc..but the limited schedule for the ferry...sometimes its so early from Cebu
the sneaky shot of people walking past is great. it keeps the male viewers interested, at least 😊
what happened regularly guy? I am anticipating your next vlog because you said you are going to Naval. I am from that town, my partner says maybe my hometown is dangerous 😂 thinking you might've been kidnapped there😂
Yep wondering the same thing. I can’t recall so long between vids.
Love the videos. Keep doing these types of videos of visiting parts of the philippines that are not well known
I’ve been there. No for me as well. Great video. The best parts are the slow mo showing Filipinas. I experienced the exact same.
Yea man agreed
Really enjoy your tremendous efforts! Congratulations. Thank you
Ima simple man. Scotty boy posts, I watch.
Buddy of mine used to have a gf from up in Naval. Mine is from Carigara. Loving the Leyte Province adventures, Scooty Boy!
Thank you for the great vlog! As always, nice place never been there.
Hey Scott, good to see you are back in the saddle after that more reflective short vid I saw the other day.
Scott maybe you might consider staying in one location for a while even if just a month, instead of bouncing around day to day. You could maybe even meet a woman if you stayed someplace longer than a day or two. Not sure how you are handling all the travel ?. I traveled for 2 months riding my motorcycle though the Philippines and it was not easy and after a while it took a toll on me. I hope the constant travel does not wear you down.
I have been saying the same thing.
Maybe he needs decaf 🤣🤷♂️
Dude slow down!!
You’re going to keel over🤦♂️
Everywhere you went looks clean.
What's the hold up with the scooter? Is it faster to buy a used one or does it still take a long time to do all the registration and licensing stuff? Seems to me that Leyte would be ideal for exploring on a scooter.
They tell me you are good to go with the registration That comes with the used bike.
Reminded me that my first penpal (pre-internet...back in the 80s) was from Palompon. I wonder what became of her .
I have seen several of your videos where you reference no toilet seat. Is this a common theme in PH hotels? Do you know why the toilet seats are missing?
He’s a man of culture. We salute you brother. Doing God’s work for us men😂
It seems like quiet and organized in Palompon and Ormoc Scotty boy.
I love your channel started following you. I love the way I can learn about the Philippines everywhere on your Channel thank you for doing what you're doing I hope one day to run into you in the Philippines lol
Whenever I'm in a small town in the Philippines I just go on my phone and Google restaurant near me and find plenty.
Palompon is great...It has one major street...I like the Krispy King
Hey man the Pensioner Hotel there..Like 8 stories has a great rooftop view..
The ppl are really nice in that town..Kalamggaman Island is right off shore about 30 mins..National Treasure..
We were just there last yr for a month. It’s where my wife is from. Beautiful area. Her family lives about 20 mints from town. Isabel.
I was here thanks for the Vlog!!😁😁
Wow 😮😮it's a pleasure you visit our beautiful Ormoc City.
Oh yes I love ormoc
One thing that is very noticeable is people live their lives in this country and actually see the world around them. In the U.S. you'd just have videos of people walking/driving around head down with their heads glued to their phones.
Good job Scottie...you look like you had fun time there...energetic
Getting withdrawal symptoms waiting for new videos Scottie 😊😊 When do you reckon you'll be off on your new motorbike? Particularly looking forward to more LUZON content..
I have a sneaking suspicion that the girl(lol) you complemented in the maroon…. Is just your type Scotty.
The channel is Regular Guy, not Regular Gay
😂😂😂😂😂😂💥
Scotty, I give you credit, your acceptance of hotel rooms, and their many degrees
of cleanliness is something I would have issues with and I'm also in philly.
Scottty, You are welcome for me being the person first to suggest that you use a backpack.
Your image quality seems to have improved. Did you change the settings or get a new camera?
Yes I got the insta 360 go 3 it's new
Nice! I have that camera. It's easy to use and more importantly fun to use. The image quality is good enough, as long as it's not super dark outside. It looks a lot better than the X3 in my opinion. I had the X3 camera before too. Lol😊
17:36 That l👀k 🤣🤣🤣
Ive been there 4 years ago and we visited Sambawan island in Biliran such a beautiful Paradise !!!
I don't think you can live in a small town, Scott. When will you visit Palawan island?
It looks like there is nothing to do there, Scotty boy. I can't wait to see you again. Thanks from LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA
Im 32 and retired. Planning on finding somewhere not in the city. I get around 4.1kUSD(222k php)/month. Any idea where i should go?
Man, you dig through all the little islands.
I'm sure this question been answered before, but how are you affording this really long trip through the Philippines?!? What an adventure!
I just returned to the USA from the Philippines, and I am missing it a lot. I am planning on going back to the Philippines soon again.
Hey Scooty, How many miles a day you think you walk. You deal with the heat like a champ. How long it take you to acclimate? Nice t9 see you finally bought a scooter. It’s official, you Scooty now, my good man.
Hi I have a scooter now do I walk less but travel more which is great
Amazing! I watched the video you took in Palompon. I stayed in the exact same room as you for 2 weeks during Dec 2022. I came to visit a girl who goes to the Marine University near the Palompon Lodge. You should have visited the university campus. It has 5000 students and many beautiful girls. Palompon rolls up the streets about 7:30 every night and there is absolutely no activity after that. Very boring town. I could never live there. Robert Strange Angeles City resident for almost 5 years.
In most filipino vlogs i noticed there is no toilet seats in alot of the hotels are people stealing them or just ripping them off ?
Approx 40 miles from Ormoc to Naval. You should be there in maybe an hour or so... well, it's the Philippines. How long will it actually take?
Thanks for going through all these travel challenges and making videos of it. Helps me in my confidence if I can get to the Phils myself. I would love to visit Ormoc and numerous small towns. Your channel is great! I enjoy watching your videos. Best of luck to you.
Ormoc is the Pineapple Capital of Leyte..its about 1 1/2 hours to palompon..I like Palompon Better.
Check out the only pension house in Palompon with a roof deck..yiu can see everything
You can almost see Poro in the Camotes
I would love to be able to do all this and come to the Philippines. I've had a Filipino nurse tell me you really should go You really should go every day I get up and I instantly get on my TV Look at your RUclips for regular guy. Seems like you're getting pretty famous over there
What’s up with the Scoot-a-roonie? I thought you were on your way to pick it up in one of your previous videos.
Do these hotels give discounts for long stays?
Only if they are listed on Airbnb
Hey Guy, what are you using for cellular service?
Scottie, Was that an Andok's Chicken at the bus terminal? I saw yellow & red colors... Andok's is the absolute best rotisserie chicken with the wood smoke flavor...
Why would a young healthy man have zero romantic involvement with woman as a way of life choice?
It is that SDA influence. 😂
@Avarua59 his titles make it sound like he is pursuing romance but we know it isn't even close. He creeps out every woman. They sense he is on the spectrum
Janella
Scooterooniee still doesn't find the girl who made him feel the same love he felt with Mary Ann before.
@@KATHERINE-so5di we can't even validate any of these girls existed. All he showed was a few grainy stills despite continuous videos in his life. Something is off here
The fact that you are not constantly hugging the porcelain throne tells me that your stomach has acclimated to eating the very local cuisine!
The street food in the Phills can be scary
My filipina wife is from Palompon and she told me a lot of restaurants closed down there because if the mayor doesn’t get your support he won’t allow you to run your business.Corruption at its finest regular guy! We go to to this area last 4 years straight and if your trying to go to Kalanggaman island it’s hit or miss due to weather allowing you the trip. Otherwise it’s an amazing place to visit!
1:23 I've been here since early December.. I would guess there are about 1000 foreigners living within 15km of Ormoc.. but I do agree that they aren't the overly friendly type,, most doing their own thing...
Scotty, please take off for 3 weeks til your bike gets here. It is clear you're burnt out.
Take the trip from Palompon to Kalanggaman Island 🏝 beautiful Sandbar .
yes, exactly, you shouldn't miss that island.........
That’s a really beautiful sandbar! Magical.
@@ValentinaMitchell1 Yes 🏝🏖 powder white sandbar so beautiful 👍 I have beautiful photos from Kalanggaman Island 🏝
Was there last September tough going to Kalanggaman if weather isn’t conducive for travel.
@@RyanUSNAVY it truly is a beautiful white sand powdered sandbar, I love that place so much!
Hey Guy,,what are you using for cellular service?
What’s the song in the beginning of the video.
The people in Palompon are great..I lived in Ormoc..
A lot of 7th Day Adventists in Palompon
This video highlights the challenges Westerners face if they choose to live or even travel in PH. Food is the biggest problem. Next is entertainment. Did you see any pubs, bars? (That can be a good thing or a bad thing) Things can get boring.
The small towns are boring. What would you do all day?
Scotty. You are the master of cheap but quality hotels. Ya gotta post your best hotel picks. Does your new backpack have a waste belt. Really helps with weight distribution. I know your pack is heavy. I bet you regret not buying a quality used ADV bike. You would have been riding for weeks already. I'm starting to get motion sickness watching your video style. Couldn't you have found out the bus route much earlier. I know you're spontaneous but you really cost yourself some time. Keep it up Scotty. Scooter time will be very interesting.
What kind camera you're using bro?
Hi this was on the insta 360 x3 I believe
17:34 The rarist thing they'd ever experienced in their whole life was when a camera poked by foreighner at them, hahaha. So sweet teens.
SC!!... Hope all is well. What program do you use to edit your videos?
Hey man I use filmora only bcuz way back I heard Reekay and gio say that thats what they use. It's easy and simple to use.
It's cute/funny yes I know Scotty boy reads comments. But it's cute how your more comfortable talking to Men& not women.
I was considering a trip to Palompon on my next visit to Leyte. Watching your video I think I might forego on it. Maybe I'll try Merida or Isabel.
Rather than flip flops, you should get a pair of Hey Dudes. They are close toed shoes, but they're light and breathe pretty well. And they aren't goofy looking like Crocs.
When you show that you arrived in text include how long it took to get there
Noted will do
Just came across your channel! Better than most good stuff,be visiting Philippines in April
Scotty, you should have let us know the cost of your food at the Mexican Restaurant. I think you were just to hungry from all that walking from taking bad direction advice that you totally forgot about it. It did look really tasty though. Too bad you have to backtrack to get to Naval. C'est La Vie!! See you in the next one. Hopefully you will find some Babe-a-Roonies there.
