    Praise God for the tone He has given you to speak with. It brings me much peace. I live with terrible anxiety. Yes, be anxious for nothing... i pray every day. I was born without the gift of loving parents. Yet, how much love i have for others, amazes me bc I seek to love God and people. Beginning with my family every day. Please pray for me. I ask God to take this from me every day.
    Thank you for your love for Jesus. It is felt in my heart with every syllable. 🙏🕊🌷🌈🕊🌈😇

    Curious, I attend a Serbian orthodox church we still use the Old Calender. Is there communion between the GOC and Serbian church being they are on the same Calender?

    • @OrthodoxTradition
      @OrthodoxTradition  Год назад +4

      No, there is no intercommunion because, although the Patriarchate of Serbia is not on the Old Calendar, yet it is heavily involved in ecumenism. The calendar issue is only the forerunner of the main issue, which is ecumenism.

      @@OrthodoxTradition Your Eminence, are there any "jurisdictions" that are in communion with GOC? I have been Orthodox for 19 years (converted from Evangelical Protestant at age 48). The first 4 years were in the OCA, and the remaining 15 years have been with Antioch (serving as Reader and Choir Director). However, the more I learn about Traditional/ Canonical Orthodoxy, the more I see 1. the importance of using the Julian Calendar, and 2. the dangers of "Ecumenism ". As far as I can tell, there are no GOC churches in the Los Angeles area where I live.
      Do you have any recommendations?

    I love your lectures but I wish you would follow the wisdom of St Joseph the Hesychast on the old-calenderist issue. Either way God bless you

      I don't think it's so simple. These people are part of the Church. They have St John Maximovitch, St. Philaret, St. John the Romanian, Holy Elder Hieronymos and many others to support them.

      Christ is Risen. Perhaps you should read the life of one of the greatest Fathers of our time, Saint Hieronymos of Aegina. This clairvoyant elder prayed, and it was revealed to him to join the GOC. From there on, his gift of clairvoyant became much greater.

      My friend, it’s not nearly that simple. There are saints on both sides of this. Even Saint Paisios blessed some to stay with the Old Calendarists. It’s a complex issue.

      @@OrthodoxTradition is it true that not all GOC are the same? many are in schism, only a very small few follow the line of bishops that did not fall into schism and direct line of ROCOR (not commemorating the MP) and catacomb churches from the 1920's old calendar fiasco
