NARS has always been a staple. Their powders, bronzers, blushes, lip products, concealers have always been great. The eye shadows are usually pretty consistent as well. It is a solid brand no doubt. Oddly… I’ve never tried a foundation from them. I don’t know why.
Thank you for this video! I have very oily skin and I agree that the matte foundation is best suited for oily skin types. Most foundations break down and separate on me, but the NARS matte foundation is long lasting and after a few hours I have a natural glow instead of looking like a greaseball. It only takes a tiny amount to get full coverage over the entire face. Also Rosecliff is a lipstick that I have used up and repurchased, it is the perfect MLBB shade and I keep one in my purse at all times.
I am super sensitive to SPF also. The only one I can use is the facial mineral SPF from Vanicream. The only thing is that it feels kinda greasy. I'm 53 so I've been very proactive in wearing SPF but it causes my foundation to slip. I'm almost to the point that I'm 53 so what's done is done and I would rather have my makeup sit well on my skin then had a greasy SPF mess underneath my makeup. What SPF do you wear, if you're able to wear any? I want the Nars Light Reflecting foundation and I can't find a skin match and I can't afford to buy 2 colors and mix.
I feel you on the SPF issue. The only spf I've been able to wear is the Purito one. It sits lovely and doesn't make me break out. That sucks you don't have shade :( 💗💗
Wow! You really have added to your NARS collection! NARS truly does have alot of really awesome formulas and consistently really good wear! I love the Soft matte foundation ( i have normal to oily skin) the Laguna cream and powder bronzers, the blushes (are ah-ma- zing!! ), the eyeshadow primer, their lipliners and lipsticks and eyeliners are all so good! I have not tried their highlighters other than the ones that come in the holiday blush palettes and those are really good, also havent tried the liquid blushes. Their eyeshadows are ok for me and my taste but if you want a natural everyday look then they are great! I like the Holiday Climax Extreme eyeshadow and hope they release somethng similar to that formula and colorstory again. Id say Nars would also be one my go to's if i could only keep one brand. Top 5 for consistently awesome formulas would be Pat Mcgrath, NARS, Tom Ford, and Hourglass. Although Hourglass in my opinion is lacking in the eyeshadow category.

Love the blushes and there’s definitely a difference in formula within the palettes but the ones that are good are great. One of my faves palettes are the summer solstice palette.
I absolutely hate the NARS Natural Radiant foundation. I wanted to try a NARS foundation and when it came out it was really hyped so I bought it. It is straight-up matte and it also doesn't blend. The only way I could use it up was to mix it with the very glow-y ABH foundation.
Spot on for the concealers. They are nice but can’t get a good shade and I’m very light like you. I don’t want to look bright under there just natural looking

One to try out that you haven’t mentioned is the soft matte lip balm. It’s feels like a velvet balm but looks like a matte lipstick, has good color payoff without the dryness of a matte lipstick. I wish I had a foundation shade in Nars. Or in most brands really. Pale olives exist! I can add green or blue mixers, but it does change the formula. Love this eye look!
I have a light olive complexion. I wish there were pale olive shades too! Why do companies not know we exist?? I’m commenting because it is concentrated and doesn’t change formulas at all. It’s called Temptu Pro SB adjuster-the one in the clear cap. (There is also a greasy one in a black cap I hate) I’m warm so I use green, but I know a cool olive who uses the blue. I use literally 1/2 drop to 1 drop per 2 pumps of foundation. I’ve used it in water based and more silicone based foundations, too. You use so little that it really doesn’t change formulas at all. The bottles are small, it’s only $14, but because you use so little it lasts forever. I hope this helps! Finding it was a game changer for me.
That actually baffles me too cos I see Hannah Louise Poston have that struggle with almost every foundation range too. Hopefully brands start catering to the pale olive tones too! 💗💗

Old video but what primer do you use with the nars? I feel like it really only looks good over nearly bare skin and the company says to not use anything with silicone under it , and most of my sunscreens have silicone
Oh I've honestly found any of my primers have worked well under my Nars foundations. My fave with is probs the milk hydro grip and also the Tatcha silk canvas 💗💗
I never really think about NARS too deep, don't know why....just kind of forget about them. I had a mini of Orgasm/Laguna but at the time I didn't like it. Climax palette and the audacious lipsticks are the standouts for me. Both you and another good friend from youtube keep raving about the cream bronzer though, so I am intrigued.
Nars makes good makeup, only some of their limited edition releases are not my colours so I skip shopping them. I love their Sheer Glow foundation and their pot concealer. I wouldn’t go for their eyeshadow because it’s overpriced, although some of the palettes are really nice for everyday looks.
Would absolutely love to see collection videos by catergory 😍 absolute HGs from Nars is the light reflecting and sheer glow foundations, also the highlight in Capri! I had Fort De France but it wasn't as flattering on my skin tone, I wear Mont Blanc aswell 😊

I hadn't tried NARS until late last year when I bought the Stargaze Eye Palette which I was very impressed by. I would have liked the other palette but missed out on that one earlier in the game. I also bought their Holiday Cheek Palette and a Dual Mascara Set for the price of one, which I'm yet to use. I'm very impressed with the Cheek Palette and love the sheer formula, due to having a pale complexion, plus the five shades of blush and the highlighter. I did also pick up the L/E Lipstick in Ava which is a colour I generally go for and applies very well. It's not exactly a brand that overly excites me, but for softer, more natural looks, these palettes definitely lived up to what I was after from them. I doubt I'd be rushing back to try anything else due to the overwhelming amount of make-up I now own. Although, now that I'm aware of some of their products, I can purchase if I see something I like and know it should work well. I'd be much happier if the make-up had different names. It just sounds childish to be naming adult luxury make-up in this manner. I'm no prude, just don't believe it's necessary. This also turns me off the brand.🇦🇺💖🕊
You should try the concealer in affogato if you haven’t. It’s got decent color correction power due to the peachy shade. And Oslo is lighter than Mont Blanc but a little pinker as well. Neither is a perfect match for me but I prefer Mont Blanc even if it’s too dark because it’s more neutral. I can sheer it out enough to make it work. Nars radiant foundation is really good but there is no perfect shade for me.
Agree with the lip crayons they are fab and the blush is great I have the bright orange one I think it is Taj Mahal it looks scary in the pan but it is so nice on the cheek.

I just got the new talc free bronzer in 00 and it’s great. Beautiful neutral leaning peachy tone and great formula. I really like the newest Orgasm Rising eyeshadow palette. It’s boring but beautiful with an outstanding formula like the Climax palette. My favorite cheek palette is the discontinued Orgasm on the Beach palette. The new four pan blush palette is almost identical. The TM is definitely great too. ❤Nars really is one of the best all around brands as far as quality goes. I think it’s just not talked about as much these days because it’s been around for awhile like Mac, Bobbi Brown and Laura Mercier. ❤

Nars is one of my favourites as they are the only brand I have tried with perfect match shades for my skin tone, and I like most of their stuff except the eyeshadows due to the formula. I have used almost all their complexion products, I like the light reflecting foundation which is my favourite foundation I have tried so far too, the tinted moisturiser, new soft matte powder and soft matte concealer, colour corrector, and also the power matte liquid lipsticks. I tried one their primers which has SPF 50 in it, and it always stung my skin so I wasn't a fan of it. Managed to use it up but I don't like primers with SPF in them.
Oh finding a perfect match is always a huge win! And I agree about primers with SPF in them. We use sunscreen on our own, we don't need it in primers too lol 💗💗
I wasn't crazy about their concealer either. But I love their bronzers and will buy their new talc free ones too. One of their recent blush quads had no caprylic triglyceride which is a coconut derivative and I think breaks me out, and I hope they follow suit with their regular blushes in the future. Oh I didn't hear when you were talking about the pot concealer - do you ever use that as an eyeshadow base ever? I was looking online at the blushes and I see their formula doesn't include any caprylic triglyceride anymore - very happy.
Yes, that ingredient breaks me out too! And it is in everything, it is sooo annoying! No, I've never actually tried the concealer on my eyes. I presume it would work well if you had oily lids but I think my lids would be too dry for it 💗💗
I absolutely love the Nars light reflecting foundation it's fantastic 👌 I'm on my second bottle, i have combo skin and it work's fantastic on me. I do like the soft matte foundation i was using this before the light reflecting came along, and it's a great foundation if you have oily skin, i like to mix in some face oil or the glow recipe niacinamide dew drops and it works great. The Climax palette is fantastic i love it. The soft matte concealer is brilliant i use it for so many different thing, it's a life saver in coving acne when I'm having a break out, eyeshadow primer, i carve out my brows with it and use it to tidy up my lipliner. The cream bronzer is amazing, it blends like a dream. I really like the orgasm x blush it's beautiful. Really like the lipgloss as well. Nars is a great brand
Sensitive Sally’s Unite! Honestly the matte foundation does the same as a radiant longwear for me. Goes on beautifully but separates on the skin after a couple of hours. I’ve tried every moisturiser and primer I own and it still happens! Agree completely about the creamy concealer - so drying and creasy! The soft matte concealer paired with the Huda concealer is my fave combo for my dry under eyes thanks to you. Agree completely, Nars bronzer blush and highlight are brilliant. I buy their face palettes every time they release them. Blush wise you might like dolce vita and torrid. And yes the mini mascara is always better. Loved this vid! ❤❤❤

I don’t get along with the creamy concealer either. I love the soft matte concealer, though. It is my spot concealer of choice. I’ve only ever tried one NARS eyeshadow palette and it was the amazing Climax palette. I think it’s beautiful! I really like the tones and the formulas. Maybe they’ll put out another one like this with this formula soon!!! (Why don’t companies make popular limited edition products permanent? Bare Minerals did it with their blonzers and people went wild!)
Nars is my favorite brand hands down. I agree with you - high quality cosmetics, in nuanced shades and fantastic packaging, across all their products. If I could only by from one brand it would be Nars.
Yea i can’t get down with the radiant creamy concealer either ( the dark circle game is strong in this house 😆) I’ve been trying to decide if i want to try the light reflecting powder for my under eyes i think i may give it a shot now with the mini in the pressed powder 😆☺
Nars has been a favorite of mine forever. I buy one to two tubes of skin tint every year (since they released, forever ago). I recently bought the concealer every one loves and cannot make it work. The formula of a concealer must be much thinner for me to like it. Thanks for the video ❤

I don’t get along with the creamy concealer either. I love the soft matte concealer, though. It is my spot concealer of choice. I’ve only ever tried one NARS eyeshadow palette and it was the amazing Climax palette. I think it’s beautiful! I really like the tones and the formulas. Maybe they’ll put out another one like this with this formula soon!!! (Why don’t companies make popular limited edition products permanent? Bare Minerals did it with their blonzers and people went wild!)
Agreed! I feel like Nars especially has had so many brilliant limited edition products that could be permanent products! 💗💗
Nars is my favorite brand hands down. I agree with you - high quality cosmetics, in nuanced shades and fantastic packaging, across all their products. If I could only by from one brand it would be Nars.

Yea i can’t get down with the radiant creamy concealer either ( the dark circle game is strong in this house 😆) I’ve been trying to decide if i want to try the light reflecting powder for my under eyes i think i may give it a shot now with the mini in the pressed powder 😆☺

Nars has been a favorite of mine forever. I buy one to two tubes of skin tint every year (since they released, forever ago). I recently bought the concealer every one loves and cannot make it work. The formula of a concealer must be much thinner for me to like it. Thanks for the video ❤
