Friendly heads up, the gtx970 has a 0 fan rpm mode based on thermals by default, the fans should spin up when needed. Fun video as well. :)

with a pc like that, i recommend little nightmares 2 a co op game which i think you and your wife can enjoy :3
portal 2 if u want something cheap. RoN if u can control her trigger discipline.
this pc still runs better than most prebuilts solely due to the fact there is dual channel ram

I just noticed that the gpu fans not spinning was already answered by @TheMattaBase they spin when it gets hotter than it should they don't have to spin
