Rico Bearman, the young NZ rider, is unbeatable in the U23 division. He needs to be racing in the Elites immediately.

I was half decent on a bmx bike. Didn't race but used to beat all the local kids in the neighbourhood, at a track we built down the end of our street on a small piece of farmland in Auckland New Zealand. It had two jumps but was small, tight, and on a slope. . Absolute carnage. Soft dirt landing though. We were just five hearty, rugby playing, kiwi 9 yr olds, a dad, some shovels and a wheelbarrow when we built this.
We were fairly working class and none of our parents could afford a top or the line bike like a redline.
I had an HMX 500, painted white, with yellow mongoose pads, and yellow grips that my mum bought me, from an ad in the paper. . Everyone in the neighbourhood thought I had a legit, top of the line Mongoose.
I could also do wheelies for days.

I'd give it a like but you can't let the UCI think something can be monetized or they'll stick it behind a pay wall like MTB or Cycling.

Good point. This is a sport that needs more recognition. Being in the Olympics has increased it's appeal. There should be more effort in attracting viewers to the sport via free RUclips. How can you become interested in a sport if you have to pay.
I think they should promote this sport from a gladiatorial angle. Like combat sports rugby and MMA. All these sports are fast, powerful, and brutal.
      Brutality makes them money.

I got attracted to the sport by watching former world champion and Olympic silver medalist IOC member Sarah Walker of New Zealand. With the free RUclips content, I've learnt who all the big guns are. And NZ also has success in the male categories as well.
This wouldn't have happened if I had to pay.
I now love this sport with a vengeance. Even the U23 grade. And as with the other sports I love, track and field, kickboxing, MMA mountain biking, road cycling, and rugby, I will now pay to watch them.
But you still need free content and highlights.

I had a HMX 500, painted white with yellow mongoose pads and yellow grips that my parents bought me from an ad in the paper. They told us that it was not actually a Mongoose, and it was cheap. When I rode around my neighbourhood, everyone thought I had a legit, top of the line, expense as fk, Mongoose.
