Chris Ward is a great designer, who was part of the team who redesigned the Clan logo a few years ago, and has been designing the jerseys for Fife and previously the Clan.
As a manchester storm fan, i love the bee in the collar to represent the people of manchester after the terrorist attack. Fyi The fife flyers pattern is called tartan Great jerseys from chris and thank you neil for viewing the british jerseys (although the ice hockey isnt the best) still great to see british ice hockey being noticed
Nice to see some EIHL content. As a Fife fan it’s cool to see some new jersey designs. I liked this year’s design but that concept blows it away. I hope the Flyers management go down that route with their next one.

Hi Neil, thank you for doing a jersey insight of the EIHL. We may have only 10 teams atm but we are hoping to grow as a league but we'll never be as good as the NHL or KHL for example hence the logos. We do have unique teams and proud to be seen worldwide. the Fife redesign that Chris did is nicely done as the flyers are a very good and proud hockey club and oldest in the league ahead of the Panthers. The design incorporates the traditional Scottish tartan fabric worn for many a centuries by many of Clans. Out of the 10, I'd stick to the Nottingham Panthers any day of the week, It maybe plain but yet it's casual and can be worn all year round unlike some of Sheffield's jersey's that have looked like traffic cones and beer cans over the years. everyone knows the logo of the Nottingham Panthers since we've had so many brilliant NHL players over the seasons Corey Buelieu (Former mighty Duck), Brian McGrattan, Cam Janssen to name a few. overall great video keep up the great content and hope that one day you can come over to the UK and take in a game :) You'll be surprised at the commitment and drive the teams have over here. ^_^ stay safe and well and keep your head up and stick on the ice :)
Good tweaks on most jerseys, that made them better. Maybe with the exception of Guildford! I really like that original one. My vote for best concept goes to Cardiff! Like the inclusion of black and color change on the arms. Great to see something different!
I’ve always loved the Fife colorway, and I was a goalie in my youth son I’ve always loved the matching setups. In the past the jerseys have had tartan in them. Sam Gospels current Leeds Knoghys setup is rather slick though. My favourite British jerseys ever though were the red London Knights ones and the old, old Durham Wasps Boost sponsored ones (blue which were away).
Loved the Flames jersey. I actually love the colours as they are. Also, there would be one person in Fredericton who would know what the Clan logo is since I go to school in town. If that would happen, I'd just go "For Petes Sake, Neil. If you won the lottery, there is better uses for your money." XD
Hey Neil and Chris: - BELFAST: I agree with Neil, the logo and striping is too low in comparison with the other jerseys. If the Stena Line ad was on one line, this would be a more aesthetically pleasing design - CARDIFF: This is one of the more simplistic designs, and I like it. But I'm not going to give it top marks, because the Devils have more than their fair share of silverware as it is - COVENTRY: Cool gradienting (is that a word? It is now), but the change I would make is to the logo - get rid of that BLAZE wordmark, it's totally unnecessary. oh, and get Bauer to make it. I'd put it on the top, but then I'm a Cov Blaze fan... - DUNDEE: This would be a good template for their uniform, using a variation of the Habs' Reverse Retro design. That ad for that taxi cab company is still unfortunately placed - FIFE: I think the word you're looking for is "tartan" Neil. It has tones of that other Fife Flyers jersey which you and Brent liked so much. - GUILDFORD: This is way better, they now don't look like a re-badged Atlanta Thrashers tribute act any more. - GLASGOW: It's a tidier design than the one they currently use. I would make the logo bigger, just because it's that awesome - MANCHESTER: This is a cool jersey just because it has a Bauer logo on it - NOTTINGHAM: I'm not really sold on the gold flashes, but otherwise this is a nice jersey - SHEFFIELD: This is a good example of the sponsors complementing the jersey, rather than dominating it. The real life version is way too clunky So, in summary, these concepts are better than their real life counterparts. I lobby for Chris to be the main designer for the entire EIHL. And, just for argument's sake, my fave design is Guildford's. Thanks for reading.

I have noticed you stopped doing the flight sim arena/stadium videos, think that’s because of the NHL playoff, right? Hopefully you will get back to doing those videos after the playoffs!
It's free revenue having ads on jerseys. Yeah it feels weird out here because our major sports are just now dabbling in ads. But in Europe and around the world every sport has them. This is a business after all
Hi, I didn't move the ads from this years jerseys so my placement matched the actual placements teams used. Having been a part of EIHL jersey designs in the past. It comes down to financial slots so teams carve up their jersey and each slot is worth a certain amount. Teams will sell slots to sponsors and it comes down to a team by team basis how many slots they sell or where the slots go. Hence why some teams are flooded with sponsors and some have only a few.
So, this might hurt to hear, but this will explain why most of the logos are very low, the sponsorships above the logos on most teams are the primary sponsors of the teams and their names are officially part of the team's name (And therefore logo) - The Belfast Giants are, for sponsorship reasons, officially known as "The Stena Line Belfast Giants". The Coventry Blaze are officially "The Genting Casino Coventry Blaze". So the sponsor logo is technically part of the logo overall - Sadly this level of sponsorship is completely necessary for the teams to be able to operate. Hockey gets no love despite being the most popular indoor spectator sport.
I think ads on jerseys should be illegal along with ads on ice, etc. Millions of taxpayer dollars are spent on arenas that are just given to the super-wealthy owners of these sports teams. I absolutely fucking hate the idea of all of these incredible players becoming skating billboards, and I'm sure they dislike it just as much. Ads on the helmets were bad enough. Just fucking terrible.
Hi folks, just a little insight to these jerseys. My idea was how would I have designed each team's jerseys had I been given the task of factoring in the sponsors. That's why I didn't move or change the sponsors in anyway. It's very hard having to deal with team sponsors, it's their baby and on the most part they don't want to adapt their logo in any way to make a jersey look nicer. This can really hurt how a jersey looks and can be quite frustrating so my idea was ok, I can't change the logos, what would I have done. Feel free to ask any questions. 👍
They haven't all been announced yet. When they do, I will. I made a video in 2017 essentially predicting it would happen. That was the last time I spoke about it I believe.

Unfortunately with the lack of money in the British Elite League, we need sponsorships to keep the sport going, and having the sponsors on jerseys is the best way to obtain sponsorship money (apart from selling ads on the ice which we also do, some a lot more than others ie Sheffield)
I really dislike the idea of ads on jerseys. It is a shame the NHL is going down this path. The visual team identity is really being sacrificed for ads as you can see in some of these jerseys. Sure they will start off with small ads. but they won't stop there. In a few years they will add a little more .. and then a little more. It will really come to a point where people have to say enough, or the ads will be the main feature .. and the team identity will be secondary. No thanks.
