Thank you for appreciating the content. Yes, hotels in Thailand do ask for a deposit and one shouldnt shy from it given the diverse nature of people who visit this country and Phuket. Pay the deposit in cash and ask for a printed receipt which all hotels give. When checking out, just ask for your deposit back after showing your receipt. It overall is smooth so dont worry. Thanks for sharing, did they ask for a deposit at check in? Heard hotels are notorious for that and don't provide proper acknowledgement of the ssme
