I can’t think in the umteen number of years I’ve used SU, I can’t recall a single time I’ve used LOCK, I know it’s there and have been frustrated in screwing something up cause I didn’t use it. I promise from here on in, I will try to remember to use it. Thanks Aaron, happy Turkey day.
If you dont want to explode the image, you can draw a small line somewhere close to your image, and then select the line and the image and make a group, this trick is good also for scaling your image to dimension without scaling the entire model.

made all those mistakes many times (erase, cut, move etc) and never noticed lock was there, Doh!! I do now. thanks Aaron

I admire native tools in Sketchup, and this Lock function is excellent (I didn't use it before).
