Can you imagine eating a GIANT Pizza and numerous big meatball sandwiches (garlic knots) with no liquid? It sounds like a choking hazard! The phrase, "Oh my gosh, there was so much blood." Using Hawaiian Punch sour drink mix to help increase saliva was smart. Congrats on outsmarting a potential alleged choking hazard. Glad you are safe and well. Hopefully the owners will realize the risk and allow unlimited water or liquid before someone gets hurt or worse.
I think they trying to be "cheap" knowing a lot of the food challengers ask for excessive amount of liquid. Which costs the restaurant money. They never say they paying for the luquids, only the meal. So maybe this restaurant should allow them to bring in their own unopened water or sodas.

I was going to post same and saw this! Yes, it is like eating a weeks food with a 1/8ths of a day worth of water to wash it down. Kinda scary and probably unsafe, but he knows what he is doing and needs to take responsibility for his decisions.

Because the bread(dough) fills you up faster so they try to get the toppings down that has liquid in it a bit and juice from the veggies must help make room in the stomach too.

@@comiken205 it depends on the laws of the the town and province (I think this is in Canada). Just because you put a clause in doesn’t make it legal, especially in terms of safety. A good example is bar tabs in the US. Many bars keep tabs and you can pay them back later, however, certain states and towns have it illegal to keep a tab so bar owners cannot legally ask for that money to be paid back for time of service even though they made a formal agreement with their customers.

9:04 garlic knots are dough that’s been knotted and cooked in garlic butter or something. Meatballs inside of them like a meatball sub are NOT the norm, but maybe you know this by now being 1 year later. 🤷♀️ and they typically come in a big tray with lots of garlic butter that they’re sitting in-soaking in. They purposely made this really difficult.
You could probably eat like 3 trays of really good garlic knots without blinking.

I'm from New York a traditional garlic knot is do that is shaped and whatnot and covered with garlic butter and parmesan cheese supposed to be soft pillowy and really really buttery and garlic and nice you can dip it in marinara sauce or ranch dressing or whatever you want but it doesn't have anything else on it
