Left because he wasn't the guy in year 2 is exactly what he said, because he was told he would be in year 2 or probably never... that's what he said he was told, I find that very hard to believe, that he was told that by HF to be clear. So did he really think he would be the starter in 25 at Auburn?? which would be year 2?? No way he would have been, it's a convenient excuse to avoid competition imo, and as far as beating Auburn in 25?? He won't even start.
@autk He wasn't even the backup last year. I don't have any ill feeling towards Walker. In fact, I wish him the best. However, the years of Auburn losing random games is over. I believe that in my heart.
I agree a hundred percent, we are in a much better place, and I don't wish Walker anything but the best, but he is really making the situation worse by continuing to speak on it, show your strength by your silence at this point, and move forward.

Why are people going by the “Freeze can’t develop QB’s, that’s why Hank and WW left” narrative??? Those kids are FRESHMEN who were EXPECTED to sit for a year or two. WW left as soon as we took Arnold. You want kids who aren’t afraid of high level competition. He should have stayed but hey, they know who’s who better than we do. Knight is the future. Would have been if they stayed. No matter what the narrative is, Freeze has proven with literally every QB he’s had on the field that he can develop QB’s. He hasn’t had time to develop Hank or WW. Hank thinks he’s ready correct? He was given his shot and crashed and burned. PT doubled his production in EVERY passing game stat there is including TD’s. Another QB proven they’re better in year 2 under Freeze. Name a QB that wasn’t better in year 2 than 1 that regressed in year 2. It’s absolutely ridiculous to say Freeze can’t develop because 2 freshmen transferred. This fanbase is so toxic……. The prior regime ran off 2 NFL QB’s. We’re having high level talent QB’s leave and we’re upgrading. We either want to win games or be overtly loyal to fan favs. Deuce COULD come in and ball out and beat out Arnold. Not ideal to start a freshman but gotta put the best man on the field. If Arnold wins we should do everything we can to not burn Knights RS. Arnold is probably a better runner/scrambler anyway. Shouldn’t be any special packages for Deuce will be ready to compete next year but if Arnold plays well and we win games this year he won’t even open up a comp next season so Deuce could be sitting 2 years. Freeze is loyal to his QB’s, especially if they’re playing well enough.

Watched Bama/SC BB game. SC offense is very helter-skelter, hard to see a cohesive, consistent system in place. AU's defense will lock them down and SC will have a hard time reaching 65-70 points.
Jackson Arnold was a below average QB at Oklahoma. I know they had a lot of questions on O but JA didn’t provide any answers. I’ve yet to see freeze coach up a QB at Auburn so it’s hard for me to get excited about next year.
I know we need talent. And I know we have to have it next year. However, I think Brown and White leaving is horrible. I can see the same thing happening to Deuce knight next year.
High school recruits are less of a factor in the future for two reasons: (#1) NIL pay/compensation rapidly exceeding 5 million dollars and growing each year. (#2) Experience above average to near elite backup quarterbacks being temped by loose transfer portal rules and high NIL offers.
People were hollering for Walker White and he didn’t do anything special in A-Day. Although I believe Deuce is much better than WW ever dreamed about being! Jackson Arnold is going to be a great Auburn quarterback before his time is up

So we got rid of two pretty good QBs who both may start at there new school for 3 rejects who’s combined game experience is probably close to what Peyton Thorne did here and that wasn’t great.Mind you those wer3 Freeze picks who left it will be interesting to see who runs scout team and if Knight will be patient.I’m hoping for best but I think the Baby Goat and Walker are going to be good.They we’re both team guys Walker especially helped in recruiting they both got kinda kicked to the curb.Maybe that’s the way it is now no loyalties on both sides sucks.

He also said he believes that’s what they probably told deuce. So if deuce doesn’t get at least number 2 by year 2, auburn will have to up the NIL or he’s gone.
Talent wise yeah this room is better. As for not having a so called "proven" qb Jackson Arnold has experience. And a lot of teams go into a season with a new QB without a ton of experience and aren't so called "proven" yet. Johnny Manziel wasn't your so called proven qb either when he first started and I think he did alright.
Agree with original post. Bad optics here for Freeze QB development. Freeze has been here 2 years and now has ZERO experienced QBs bc of bringing in 2 QBs in the early portal. Who can blame Brown and White for leaving ? They can talk all day about how many stars someone has or had, who did what last year, blah blah but the reality is Hank Brown and White at least had (1-2years) knowledge of the playbook which is vital for QB development. Add in poor coaching and play calling and I’m not sure anything changes moving forward. I’m fine with Arnold coming in but unlikely your backups now are as good as last year

No. Malzahn had a a winning record every single year. Freeze has a losing record every single year. Malzahn got auburn ranked #8 minimum every single year. Freeze has never gotten Auburn into the top 25. Malzahn coached against national championship winning teams. Freeze coaches in the watered down weaker sec.
WW didn’t run. People just want to dump on the kid. For months the people in the know were saying Auburn was getting a one year portal qb not a two year guy. JA is going to start period which means WW wouldn’t get a real opportunity for QB1 until his junior season. CHF has shown he is going to roll with the starting QB no matter what. I find it hard to believe if JA balls out that he will be in QB competition the following year. U can’t fault WW for leaving
