In the past couple of weeks, I've read articles where teenage daughters murdered their mother. Today's living is far more complicated than it was 50 years ago. My how things have changed. Glad mine are mature adults, living their lives childless. They decided they couldn't handle the problems that come with parenting, it isn't for sissy's. I don't blame them, less worries for me.

When you help someone, be cautious and do your goodness in other ways. To invite total strangers into your home is usually not a safe thing to do.

Our elderly don’t listen. They think God is going to keep them safe from these wackadoos out here. I’m having the same struggle with my own granny who’s been allowing a 32 year old single mom with a bad attitude, no job, insatiable appetite, and sticky fingers to live with her. My granny is more worried about the woman’s daughter than the woman is and so is refusing to let us kick her out.

What?? My mom has a 4 bedroom home and flat out refuses to allow Anyone, even Family to move in with her. Some elderly may be naive but many aren't...many are quite wise.

Just sickening. People try to be kind & good yet awful ungrateful people repay that kindness with evil. We see certain bad actors ruining everything good like nice stores & neighborhoods because they are selfish & immoral criminals who’d rather steal or kill. While many people down on their luck are grateful for the help they receive & good people, much of the crime & bad acts out there are done by people who choose to be awful; many like to claim that it’s simply poverty that causes desperate acts & if they’d only get help everything would be better. Sometimes bad people continue to be bad regardless of circumstance because they are awful people who can commit the most heinous acts imaginable.

This has been going on since the beginning of time. I knew someone who was very involved in the church and she and her husband took a guy in and let him live there help him get a job and the husband came home one day and the wife was killed. That was 25 years ago and to this very day, that was never any thing that people know of that was going on badly but they caught the guy and he's still in jail. He was just a guy that walked in the church one day and needed help and the church helped him get a job and then he had a place to live but he killed the person that gave him shelter.
This is elder abuse. Older people have homes. They live alone. They try to help someone out, but they've been fooled. Soon, they realize they need the person gone, but it's too late.
