South Johnstone Mill Part 1

Due to the failing condition of the bridge behind the mill, a few Km of track were laid mostly parallel to Stevenson Rd to connect existing SJ tracks to those of former Mourilyan Mill since 2003. The old route had some significant hills to climb, and scenes of that time are included. Trains north of Innisfail are in the next video. No SJ trains were noted with brake vans on this visit, but were used in the past.

I’m pleased that you are enjoying these videos. Most train fans see them as just toys which only shows their narrow minded approach to railways. I got video of at least some trains at every sugar mill in Queensland with a railway in this series.
