Thanks for taking the time to make this. It's nice to see we can make something of which buying will cost much more than what it takes to make! I'm sure the drill part of this episode was nerve racking. Kudos for making this video of which came out great!
Just a helpful tip, when you are using the type of screws you are using, it is either a 1/4 or 5/16 head on the screw. Take out the flat screwdriver head and use the the shaft of the driver. It will fit on your screw head like a socket.
Your welcome, thank you for watching. I'll try to get more good vids like that for fishing equipment. I bought a real one from a local tackle shop, but buying a few can get costly.
Big Muddy Catfishing with Bank pole joe you are so correct! I really appreciate the time you took sharing on how to make these bobbers! I didn’t want to spend $22! Please post more videos! Thank you again!
I like your Videos Joe, keep posting 'em. I live in eastern Missouri and hope to put some bankpoles out on a couple of rivers and creeks near my house that I can check & bait daily.
Wow. That's perfect I bought a noodle so I could do the same thing cuz I figured it would be cheaper I just didn't know what I was going to use to insert but that PVC is perfect good idea now I can finish my product thank you
Because of the plastic cover on top and its really snug. Pvc needs to be bigger than the hole. 3/4 pic has a larger diameter than the holes in the noodles. I also put glue on the outside of the pvc so when I slide it in the noodle to help in case it does try to slide out somehow. I've used em in the Missouri river and the rough current couldn't pull the pvc out.😎😎 thanks for watching!! Tight lines🎣
Me, I'm lazy. I just order them online from Muddy river catfishing website and they ship right to my door. In a pinch though you could deconstruct one and see exactly the components. But they do last forever
If you want to make one easier and faster that work better. Take two plastic bottle tops and glue them back to back. Use waterproof glue. Now you have the open end and use a wire secure one end through a small hole through that bottle cap that is going to be on the bottom put you swivel on before you secure the other side. Make a hole on the other side and secure the wire. Once this is done you have the way to put your lines slide to the bobber. Now from eBay you can buy LED pen lights for a little more than one dollar. Last about 15 hours on AAA battery. They show up better than those little light sticks and easier to replace batteries than messing with light sticks. Give it a try you can make one in ten minutes.

Dude that’s really cool
Great one! This is the way to do it.
Made 3 this morning using a different method. I like the way you made yours. Glad I ran across your video. Thanks for sharing
When cutting the pool noodles or any plastic heat your knife blade it cuts better and makes it's smoother.
Very good video well explained thank you sir.
If u use the thinner pipe it will float heavier bait
Can u used these off land
A plastic miter box and a sharp knife will give you clean straight cuts for making these pool noodle floats.

What keeps the PVC from just sliding out of the noodle

I would say just use the gorilla glue around the PVC and slide it into the hole
U could've just took the bit out of ur screwdriver to put that screw in.. looks like about a quarter inch

Good job .
Thanks😎😎
Thanks for the video man. Gonna make some of these this weekend. Where you fish at?
In the Missouri river. I'm from mid Missouri
@@bankpolefever cool. I mostly fish the Missouri river in St. Louis
Surely beats paying 27.99, plus 3.72 for shipping on Amazon for 4 of those...Which is almost 8 dollars apiece! Seesh!
there are other ways of making the top beside buying sour cream or butter ! and you want to glue your pipe in to your noodle !!!!
Next time take that bit out the driver. The driver Will fit the screw head.
Afro engineering at it’s finest!
👍👍
Gorilla epoxy works better
I agree that adhesive isn't the best
