      Nate, sorry to ambush your post here but I'm interested in your program, Piano Chord Breakthroughs and just wanted to be sure that the skills learned in the program are the foundation needed to play songs how you present them here on your channel and potentially on our own. Is that a fair assessment? Appreciate it and thank you!

    Am I the only one having trouble to sing the "sleep little darling" part? Has anyone got tips? With that chord with the prominent G# I can't get the notes right... (which are A G E A if il not wrong...) that semi tone appart kills me!

    • @PianowithNate
      @PianowithNate  Месяц назад +1

      I hear you! That minor/major half step tension with the G and G# is a bluesy touch but it's indeed super dissonant. If I linger there to analyze it it sounds pretty bad, but somehow it totally works in passing.
      I'm curious...does it also bother you when you casually listen to Paul sing it? In the process of learning it you may have zoomed in too much and now perhaps your ear is being overly sensitive to it.

    • @erwanlecornec5393
      @erwanlecornec5393 Месяц назад

      @@PianowithNate Thanks for taking the time :) That is avery good point! I guess that when I listen to it the bass (and the strings maybe) overpower the piano, and I guess the overall harmony leans more toward the voice's note... Maybe I should try to emulate that when playing to help my ear lead me in the right direction!

    • @erwanlecornec5393
      @erwanlecornec5393 Месяц назад

      And by the way, thanks a lot for your videos, they are exactly what I was looking for when starting out a new instrument, not learning everything by heart note for note but understanding the overall song and making it your own... learning a language and not just words!

    Hey Nate, thanks for another fantastic tutorial. Honestly you are doing a great job! The way and speed of your explanation is just perfect. My daughter is learning piano on the classic way. She loves it. But she just discovered playing chords as well and though we are from Germany and she doesn’t speak any English with 7 years, she insists me translating your tutorials 😂 anyway. She loves „Just take my heart“ by Mr. Big. I know, it is a guitar based song. But I am pretty sure that it would sound amazing on piano. Do you think it would be possible to do a tutorial on than song? I am not sure though, if many people request it and maybe it won’t generate as many clicks as other songs. But on the other hand I think it would be a fun song to Analyse for you, too. Certainly you would make a little girl very happy❤
