      That was an excellent adventure, thanks for taking us along.How tall are you, I ask cuz I’m about to get me a dual sport and the XT appears to be the right size for me. Thanks.

    Just picked up a 2021with 800 miles on it a couple days ago. Got to go on my first ride after getting it tagged. 40 miles mostly in the forest. I'm 62 and my last bike was a 800+lb. Harley. I already love this bike, did great on and off road. It feels like a bicycle compared to what I'm used to. What a blast, great to be riding again. Nice nerf btw.

    Cool video! I love riding in southern Utah. I live in the mountains of southwestern NM and we have similar type of terrain. Every time I go out motorcycle riding or hiking it always makes me feel blessed to live in the Southwest!

    Definitely looks like an interesting area to explore. Bummer that you biffed it, but you did a good job of getting right back on and shaking off the nerves real quick. All those creek crossings look super fun. I'll definitely check that area out too, at some point. Might be best for me to do on the ATV if that road becomes the creek for any considerable distance as it appears like it does, lol.

    120 miles until my reserve light kicks on. Then I think you got a safe 25miles. That last part is untested tho. 2022 XT250

    You’re just as tough as that XT250 ! Glad you’re ok , I gotta hand it to you, I would be chicken shit to attempt that territory by myself. Always best to have a partner to ride with when out on gnarly adventures like that .

    What a great place to ride there, beautiful area! Glad you are ok after the spill. I wear the full elbow pads/shin guards/chest plate when I do the nasty stuff, saves you on rock riding. All good, thanks for the enjoyable video. Cheers from Canada, Ronny

    Howdy great video. I notice you appear to be using all your fingers on the clutch and brake levers.
    Look for some videos showing how to cover clutch and brake levers with 2 fingers etc
    p.s. I crashed my 2fitty exactly the same way - gawking around and hooked the rut with the front wheel and landed on my dumbhead…

    Enjoyed seeing out west again. I miss it. I also recommend changing out sprockets to get more lowend lugging through those technical sections,

    I’m getting one! been wanting a crossover style bike for years and this looks perfect.. right after I post my comment I saw ya wreck… ouch. Good recovery. … Curious how well and smooth this runs on highway for relatively long rides

    Really enjoyed that
    Would you recommend the xt250 to a 46 year street rider looking to get into a little exploration,? Nothing as knarly as you just rode.

    • @precipiceofgrind
      @precipiceofgrind  2 года назад +2

      Absolutely. The XT250 is small and nimble and still able to do some grunt work. It's also reliable and you don't have to change the oil after every ride. Mines been a hoot! The XT250 is not the perfect bike but what is? If you want to do a 'little exploration' I think it would do the job. Go have a test ride and see what you think. Appreciate you watching!

    A nice scenic video showing some great locations to ride. I love the XT250. Did you have a smaller front sprocket on the bike when you were doing the "slow" riding? We all fall sooner or later if we are riding and exploring great routes. Can you explain how you hurt your elbow with the protection of the jacket? Is the jacket too loose and the elbow pad rotated when you fell? Thanks for sharing.

    • @precipiceofgrind
      @precipiceofgrind  2 года назад

      Nope, sprocket is stock. The XT250 is an excellent bike, no doubt about that. The elbow pad must have shifted when I hit, split my elbow right open. It's a pretty snug jacket, elbow armor is level 2. Only thing I can think of unless I hit hard enough at a point (or a rock point) to injure myself thru the armor.

    Fun video showcasing the XT250 tank low end torque! What is your height and weight? Making sure this MC can haul my heavy 240 lbs!

    Just curious what would you do if you had a flat or bent a rim?
    Your prostrate is going to be glad to get home.

    Does the windscreen affect your writing off road? I'm considering adding a windscreen & a headlight guard, on my 2018 xt250. May I ask your height & weight? I'm 5'11" 230 lbs (working on that with a zero carb diet LOL) wondering if my 2018 xt250 is a bit small for me, for the type of ride you're doing in this video?

    • @precipiceofgrind

      Windscreen hasn't bothered me at all. I'm 5'10'' 170 lbs. Can't go wrong having an XT250 in the stable very capable bike!
