WOW, never saw that coming. I grew up with and went to school with Layne Staley and knew Andrew Wood and the boys Mother Love Bone, so this was a personal shocker for me to see Miley Cyrus doing this. Thanks for posting and R.I.P. Layne and Andrew.
Hopefully at one point she releases a full blown rock record. Her voice reminds me of a Linda Perry (4 non blondes) and Kevin Martin (Candlebox) mix. I think she has a lot of raw talent.
Would love to see her do even more Chris Cornell-related stuff, particularly Soundgarden: Outshined, Rusty Cage, Loud Love, Black Hole Sun, Burden in My Hand, Been Away Too Long would all work fantastic. Throw Jesus Christ Pose and Slaves & Bulldozers in the mix too; very few people have a really incredible voice nowadays like Chris did and she certainly fits that bill.

Honestly Miley's "alright" performances are an average artists's best performance and that's saying a lot. It all further proves just how mega talented Miley Cyrus truly is. 😊💜

Good cover, but Chris who's obviously a dude(was), murders on this song. His vocal range is long, Miley's isn't. She sounds like a baritone, Chris could sing on both ends, a freaky talented singer.

Miley doesn’t quite have the vocal punch or range to do this song. Chris Cornell is one of the rangiest vocals in rock. I don’t think anyone alive could sing this the way he did in the mid-90s. Miley’s version falls flat in comparison. I’ll give her a 3.5/10.

Her cover of this in 2019 was way too more powerful, look for her chris cornell tribute concert, 10 of out 10. The only female who could cover chris. here she is tired cause her setlist was of 26 songs
