This couldn’t apply to me more perfectly. A few months ago was dumped by who I thought was gonna be the girl I’d marry one day. Throughout the relationship I was addicted to sex and when she wasn’t around or in the mood I would resort to porn/masturbation. Ever since the breakup I’ve committed myself to God and have been free of masturbation and porn for near a month now.
As young boys/men in todays society we are overly surrounded by porn and a hookup culture and it has completely destroyed some of us and our ability to have any self control or honoring of women.

Definitely needed to hear this as a reminder. I’m a single 33 man and keeping myself to marriage and delayed gratification has been the most long suffering decision made for me. However I know the benefits of waiting to meet the right woman and until marriage.

don't be like me and not wait. i dove deep in to have sex with all the woman i could find and i paid a price for that. be patient and exercise delayed gratification. It is not worth it. you will either catch a disease or a child or something going to happen. i know the dopamine reward is so worth having sex but it must be controlled and done for a purpose. with each dopamine reward you receive in life comes with either hard work or a responsibility you must take care of. in this case the body is rewarding you with such pleasure so that you may procreate. that's the purpose of sex. but let that be done in marriage where things are in order and planned out not recklessly without rationale.
