- From November 1983, Glen Campbell and his brother Shorty sing "For the Good Times". Glen & Shorty talk about their family, the new album Glen is recording in Nashville, Glen staying at Mel Tillis' farm while in Nashville, and Ronnie Dove joins them and talks about the session work Glen & the Wrecking Crew did on Ronnie's recordings in L.A. in the early 1960's.
Glen Campbell was so good.... not sure Younger people would get it.... amazing guitar and vocals
If they love good music, they’ll get it ❤

Much joy listening to this two brothers singing together.love it rip glen
You tube has given us so many great things that we never would ever get to hear or see just like this
Glen's voice and music can harmonize with anyone. Also, he never tries to steal the spotlight. He just comes through as an awesome entertainer with a look of a shy little child. He is extremely handsome and talented through hard work. He's done what it takes to be where he is. Love you.
Well stated!

Love this look back of Glenn still vibrant and healthy. He was a musical genius and a good man. Shorty is great too. So sad about his passing. Time flies much 2 quickly.

In 2016 I was blessed to spend time with Shorty, Punkin and some of Glen’s nephew in Billstown. Shorty sang then. He still as good now as he was then.

Always been a great song and the boys do it justice here! Wonder if Shorty is still around? RIP Glen. Saw you in concert 2011 a great legacy left.
I have always been a fan of Glen's music but I was not aware that he had a brother that
sang too > Great
shorty spend much time with the does his first love
They could all sing. Parents too. That was their entertainment growing up as they were poor, like the Parton's
@@paintedlady82 Very true. True of a lot of folks here 'round Murfreesboro, Delight, Billstown, etc. Pretty well all the Campbells are musical in some way.
Now wait a second! Glen has always said he sang the "higher" parts when they were growing up which made it easy for him to fill in for Brian Wilson when he sang with the Beach Boys. Never mind, later in the song, Shorty had the melody and Glen sang harmony, so I still believe him.
what a beautiful song, amazing talent
Beautiful
I am not necessarily a Country Music fan, but I have loved Glen Campbell since I first Rhinestone Cowboy. And the Christian rock band wrote the song 'Speak To The Sky' which was dedicated to Glen Campbell. He will always be among my all time favorite musicians.
Glen had so much talent and confidence,he was the best I ever saw live ❤
Brilliant. Could listen all day.
No matter who Glen Campbell talks about he always lift them up and takes a backseat I've never heard him say anything the high praises when he's asked about another person just another of Glen Campbell thing
Great Upbringing
I miss Glenn Campbell, what a great voice he had, thank god, I got some CD of him & when I miss him & listen to his wonderful music.
Masterful....as ever. RIP Glen, much joy seeing him live at the mighty concert hall of The Sydney Opera House some years ago now. Fond memories as I took my dear old Mum, now up there as well.

02/15/2021 anyone watching from mid-missouri on this -4° that feels -26° with 6in of fresh snow?
Shortly looked like his father.
I'm in Tulsa... and we are enjoying the same temps as you.
@@TheEtrain55 travel through there going to and from Deming New Mexico few years back. That pan handle is a long stretch in the hot summer.
Harrold SHEDD is a great producer and produced 21 number one hits in a row on Alabama still a record.
Glenn Campbell crossed over from Country to Pop.
He crossed back and forth throughout his career, and on the same album and live show. Nothing wrong with that. The man loved to sing and play
Who flipping cares Glenn's great the difference in today's pop music and the pop country of yesterday is the pop country of yesterday was good artist like Glenn MAC DAVIS and Bobby Goldsboro were pop and country all very distinguished artist and full of talent
Wow did not know he even had a brother They sound so much alike
He has 7 brothers and 4 sisters
I'd love to see the other half of this episode with Ronnie on it. The only part I saw previously was the last few minutes of this clip. I'd like to get a copy of the entire episode as one whole, actually, if possible.
Wow!
I see my good buddy Fred Newell on Guitar in the band. He’s so good, I’ve done many if recordings with him.
Shorty actually sounds more like Ray Price, than does Glenn. First time I have ever heard of this guy
Amazing !

HHOO?? KNEW??? NOT THIS 82 YR OLD...NICE DISCOVERY.... THO ODD...
Perfect!
Rip
Insane harmonies . Did he ever release an album with his family ??
That, right
Magic
Glen had talent in spades. He needed to be a bigger star than he was. He was a musical hero of mine up there with the Big E. I remember hearing “Rhinestone Cowboy” back in the middle 1970’s and was hooked.
Did you know that Elvis Presley wanted Glen Campbell to be in his band? Elvis said Glen could play a guitar.Elvis did this song for the good times and he sung it as good or better then Glen. Listen to it sometime.
I have listened to both. They both sing it beautifully, but Glen makes me believe it. This world sure is better, though, because both men blessed us with their extraordinary talents.
how can Glen go to delight and be on the
grand old opry the same day.
Wow....they fit like gloves.
Oh Glen, that's a terrible combover.
That was awesome!!
