The install and reviews have been really helpfull for me when deciding what to buy. I spoke with several Corbeau staff on the phone and email about what seats are going to work best for me in my Jeep. They told me they do not use any memory foam material in these or any seats made by Corbeau but do use a injected foam that lasts longer and provides better support and comfort. The memory foam sounds nice but just is not what they use. I really liked the top 5 side armor bars video and went with Red Rock side armor bars based on Ryan's video explaining the benifit of six different mounting bolt locations for better protection when driving over lowered imports.
See additional comments, Cobeau stepped up big with customer service and replaced the bad set of seats for me. These seats are absolutely junk. In under a year the bolts all stripped out, they use low quality fasteners and don't bother with threadlock or lock washers. They were poorly assembled when I got them with the harness tunnels incompletely installed so they literally pushed up into your privates going over bumps. To top it all off I bought a matched pair that came in the same box and they aren't even the same color, the black fabric on the driver seat is gray'ish and the passenger side is purple. I would have been better off re-covering the factory seats.
To update this in all fairness, I reached out to support and even though I was well past warranty age they replaced both seats. I am hoping the new ones hold up better, the color match is spot on this time.
The Jeep is not my daily driver anymore so the seats are getting alot less use but they are still in perfect working order and still in matching and correct color so I am happy with them. Corbeau really did a great job on the customer service end of things with making this right. I got a Corbeau 5 point harness for Christmas that I haven't installed yet but it feels solid.
I intend to put Corbeau XRS reclining suspension seats in my 2 door 2003 GMC Jimmy. However, I am concerned that the suspension seats sit higher than stock seats. I would actually like the new seats to sit an inch lower than stock as I’m a bigger guy. The corbeau seat bracket for my application is 3.25” tall but I see they sell both 2” and 1” universal brackets. Do you have any thoughts on which bracket I’d be better using.
Personally, I'd recommend giving Corbeau a call directly to see what they recommend for your specific application since we're not too familiar with Jimmy's here at ET. Thanks for watching and best of luck! - Zach
Of course that was the first thing I did. They seem to me to be salesmen rather than tech people who have actually installed a seat. While their RUclips videos mention that suspension seats sit a little higher than stock seats nobody can tell me what a little bit is. Is it 2mm it 2 inches. Nobody knows. It makes it nearly impossible to order the right bracket height.
I bought the basic sport seats for my 08 jku and the mandatory bases. Well the bases are wrong, wrong, wrong. Bases are half inch too short, so the door side plastic hinge covers on the seats scrape the plastic trim between the doors at the hump under the rear door disconnects. And the belt clips are angled WAY too far out toward the center console. If you don't bend them from 145 degrees to 90 they will completely prevent the install. If you force it they will crack the console and forget about moving the seat forward and back. Oh and the paint chips off hella easy so prepare to repaint.
The video mentions YJ Jeeps, 1987 and up. Yet, funny, nowhere in the video is a YJ Jeep actually shown. The seat risers are completely different from the other Jeeps, and YEAH IT MATTERS. Absolutely worthless video. And from the comments already posted, seems like Corbeau seats are even more overpriced than I thought. I would not pay a penny for new mismatched seat, seats that come incorrectly assembled, etc.

Well, they got their payment for running this advertisement, and correcting their mistake or replying to your comment just doesn't help pay the bills.
I have these seats sitting in my garage waiting on the correct brackets for my 2015 jk.I cann't wait to try them out !
How did the seats turn out?
Do these seats fold forward for passengers to get into the back?
This video would be far more useful if it showed how the seats fold and tumble forward and what all the levers etc. do.
What about the side airbags?

@@stwilson74 can I get another update? I'm looking for seats and want to know if these are a good option

No sliding adjustable seat? That's a deal breaker for me.
what about the airbag light and seat chime?
Just install a Resistor, if you cant figure that out you probbaly eat bananas for the shape.

"Review & Install"....LIARS, you didn't show any install
👌👌👌
Check eBay. Save $1000 for identical seats. Sorry I won't pay $1000 for the heated seat option.

The same seats are available on Amazon for about $400 a pair.
