Great work as usual AB. A couple things I'd like to put out there is 1. The council should have put a sign further up each side of the carriageway informing of the "new road layout" 2. There are actually two types of stop signs listed in the highway code this one in the video an octagon on its own without a circular background means you only have to comply and stop to give way if there is traffic or pedestrian/s crossing, for example, if it is safe to do so you do not have to come to a temporary stop. The STOP sign you are thinking of has a circular background behind the octagon and this means you have to comply and come to a temporary stop regardless of traffic or pedestrians. If there is an authorised change to road markings or signage on the public highway, the Hi highways Agency will notify the public via local media. The base have no authority to unilaterally change signage on the public highway.
Sounds like a breach of data protection, that is most likely illegal! FOIA the council to see if the correct authority authorized the removal of the road marking, and why if they had authorized they change in designation the stop sign hasn’t been changed! It looks suspicious to me and the cops attitude leaves me suspicious he may have been involved!
The reason they have changed the line but not the stop sign is because NO-ONE can do their job properly in the UK anymore - the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
They need relevant highway authority's permission to change stop-line to giveway. The highway authority would be county Council, local council or National Highways. If the station changed themselves without permission, it is unlawful.
Well thats one way to solve the problem, Go back at night with a tin of white paint xD just kidding.Nice one mate, bit cheeky them telling your name in a public place in front of others and following you to do so !. tc
A vehicle exiting the location and turning right has no stop line. That can’t be right. They can only remove it and treat it as a left turn slip road if no right turn. It cant be both.

What about heavy rain??? THANK YOU FOR THAT INFORMATION MR POLICEMAN.
Unbelievable. They put 'STOP' restrictions exiting the base for a reason. It's a main road with fast moving traffic and is dangerous. But, because they can't be arsed taking a few seconds to stop and make sure it is safe, they just remove the restrictions (sort of). I just pray we don't get any americans driving out of that base!
Just shows they can’t be trusted at all
The Sign on the road is a give way sign, whereas, the signpost says STOP!
You know what I'm going to say here AB...... military bases are a no no mate. Everything else is fair game but the security of service personnel is vital fella.🇬🇧🇬🇧✌✌
The stop sign will take priority over the give way lines (which look more recent). If, it went to court over any accident.
The ones you should make enquires too are the local highways department.
There is a similar situation locally to me, a stop sign with giveaway lines, at a T junction.
Which my bike group repeatedly raises with Midlothian Council, however if any incident occurs they won't have a leg to stand on.
would love to see you use a drone that would sure be a funny audit coppers would hate
btw love your content
Funny you said that 😂😂
I keep stopping my self from buying one ,
ha ha ha - the dolt thinks he's in a S.W.A.T. team with that vest - one pocket for his sandwiches, one for his Vimto, one for his Mars bar, one for bad-breath mints, one for.......
We are supposed to stay on the left at all times and because the give way line has been moved in to the road. The is ambiguous.
lol, security guy pulled the old "I'm recording you too" action with his little bodycam ! I think they try to use that as some kind of a touché but it just makes them look like a pansy instead I think !
@@t5jerry I've been way too busy with leather work due to my last couple of vids but will get back to it just as soon as I can.
And darn good they are :)
@@PINACI Hello people and sheeple, one of the best video openings ever! Hope you are keeping well my man?
@@mandh14 Yes I'm well thank you, I'm really busy atm but my camera trigger finger is getting itchy !
Seems like that sign is too far from the kerb to be clearly seen, it should be right at the kerb, to me it's facing the other main road
Broke data protection act you’ve a right to sue him massively for that … I got a cop done for same thing ..
If there is an authorised change to road markings or signage on the public highway, the Hi highways Agency will notify the public via local media. The base have no authority to unilaterally change signage on the public highway.
If the stop sign is still there it's in force numpty. Its been changed oh dear oh dear
I agree.
A stop sign is a bit over the top any way..with such a clear view I would have thought a give was fine
The reason they have changed the line but not the stop sign is because NO-ONE can do their job properly in the UK anymore - the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
omg my comment on the first video was 'they will resolve the issue by removing the markings' AND IT ACTUALLY HAPPENED.
They need relevant highway authority's permission to change stop-line to giveway. The highway authority would be county Council, local council or National Highways. If the station changed themselves without permission, it is unlawful.
Stop signe on the pole yield triangle on the road....
Well thats one way to solve the problem, Go back at night with a tin of white paint xD just kidding.Nice one mate, bit cheeky them telling your name in a public place in front of others and following you to do so !. tc
That was one weird acting copper. I don't know what it was but he didn't look like a cop lol
very weird copper!
A vehicle exiting the location and turning right has no stop line. That can’t be right. They can only remove it and treat it as a left turn slip road if no right turn. It cant be both.
