I love that you do not add any background 'music' to your video. Other folks apply music to their videos and it always annoys and distracts me and I just have to turn it off. Your tutorial is great and you're a wise and good teacher. Thank you so much
I cannot wait for the weekend to deconstruct my hubbys Tshirt and start on my beach bag project! Thanks, I love recycling and this is much part of my ethos of living 🙏🏻
Excellent demonstration and nicely presented. Thanks! I'd like to try this and use it with face coverings to tie above and below the ears, instead of elastic behind the ears. The t-shirt material stretches and would be very comfortable, and low budget for sure.
This video is so WHOLESOME 👍 Love how it includes not just the normal hoop-like way to trim it but also other techniques that doesn't fit the hoop situation🥰👍 One quick (and dumb) question, will the zig-zag (from neck part) affect / need further handling when it's used in crochet? (The zig-zag parts are a bit wider and doesn't look like the normal thread-like yarn. I've never used this type before so I'm a bit concerned Thanks for the nice video 👍
I did not use the actual neck part (the seam around the neck). It is one of the few parts that I didn't use. I suspect that it will be a bit fat and affect your crocheting. If you want texture it will definitely add it but I would leave it out. Glad you enjoyed the video and made your own yarn!
I have three of my husband’s old t shirts that have the odd hole but the fabric is essentially good. I love to crochet and craft so was seeing what I could do as I’m trying not to throw things away if I can recycle. This is brilliant so I’m going to crochet some storage baskets for my draws so I can keep my socks and undies neat and tidy! Going for a fine yarn to make finer baskets…someone better warn my husband his T-shirts are in danger 🤣🤦♀️
Love this! To be honest most of my yarn came from my son's old t-shirts. He doesn't even try to bin them now, he brings them straight to me for yarn making! 😂
After I answered your question I thought loads of people will want to know this so I went looking for my next t-shirt victim! A small ladies t-shirt made 28 yards. Obviously the size of the t-shirt will affect how much you get. Good luck with your project! 😀
Thank you so much for answering that for me! I really appreciate it. I'm really struggling with purchasing any of this pre made yarn in Canada. I'm going to purchase the shirts from Amazon and go from there. So thank you!

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback. I did try music but I agree with you and found it too distracting. Good luck with your t-shirt yarn. 😀
I love being able to use the entire T-shirt! Thanks so much!😊
@@msbriggins my pleasure. I am glad you liked it. 😀
I love the way how you made use of the WHOLE T-Shirt :] almost nothing went to the bin :] Thank YOU

Glad you enjoyed it. I think it will be great for face masks.

How many yards does 1 tshirt make?
Really sorry for not replying sooner. I am afraid I do not know the answer - I have never measured it.

You were not centered with your camera. Very hard to watch.
I am sorry you found it hard to watch. I am working on my camera work but I am no professional. I will keep trying to improve.
