My prayers and support to Ric & Arn for their loss. In a different era, Gorgeous George was the top draw. Gorgeous George had music, a robe, a very strong gimmick, and knew how to draw a crowd. Thank YOU, Ric, for all the great promos and wrestling angles!
I have said this before, and I will say it again - the last match in July I was not expecting a Ric Flair match. I was excited to see Ric make his entrance as only Ric Flair can do, often imitated, but never duplicated, and seeing him wrestle was a real treat for me. I know he was dehydrated because I can tell from experience due to sweat, the eyes, etc. and that was a mistake he made on his part and learned from it. When he trained he was fast, had lots of stamina, and was bumping around like he was 40 years old and he was sweating much less too when training. The last match was a gift to the fans more so than for himself and he gave us all what we wanted - one more match of greatness, and he pulled it off with his signature Figure-Four Leg Lock and he pushed himself until he passed out with it locked in to Jeff Jarrett, and still won. How cool is that!? That whole card made me watch wrestling again one last time because that card had guys who know how to wrestle and work a crowd, unlike most everyone else today who couldn't even work a taco stand. I was happy with what I got to witness again and can share that story for generations to follow now thanks to Ric and to Conrad who made that possible!
What a weird ass cringey comment
Flair inducting Muta is going to be special
Conrad please let Ric finish his stories. They’re funny.
To double A my prayers go out to you and your family.
I love the video. Wish the Anderson family all the best. Can’t wait for HOF always love hearing the stories from the old days. Congratulations Rick on being asked.
Rest In Peace to the Anderson family….
Ric is cheesing talking about the hall of Fame.. dripped
Discovery Channel has Shark Week,Sharks have Ric Flair Week!! Wooooooooo!!!👍😀😀❤
Conrad and Ric the last match gave us, the fans of Ric, a chance to see him in the ring one more time. For me, it gave me a moment to think about when my father (he passed in 2010) would take me to see the NWA as a child. I was able to, for a moment, be that 10 year old again. Be a kid seeing his TV heroes. Anyone that has a negative thing to say needs to get over it, realize many of us just wanted to be that kid again.
ahem...did they ever discuss who ruined the NWA?
Great question! Was wondering that too! lol
Crockett buying the territories, to keep the belt on Flair, "Ruined" The N.W.A. #2: Gagne NOT putting The A.W.A on Hogan in 1983, "Ruined the N.W.A. #3: Jack & Jerry Briscoe, selling their Ownershiop to Vince, "Ruined The N.W.A. #4: The N.W.A & A.W.A NOT working together, "Ruined the N.W.A. Keeping Crockett as President to long, "Ruined The N.W.A. Note: My comments are not in order, but jus commenting. As I spoke before, David Von Erich Death, Magnum T.A. automobile accident & the mass exodus, deflated The N.W.A.
The video of Ric lying about being there when Brody died is right here on RUclips, please flair.
I remember somewhere seeing Flair speaking "about Brody's reputation" and then speaking of "Jose Rivera's/Invader's Motive".... or "State of mind 🤔" i.e. he had just gotten a new home + pool and his daughter drowned so he wasn't exactly thinking right.... 🤔, maybe Flair wasn't there, but he was trying to explain rumors from the time....
@@wilfred8326 Yes he said all that, but he also said twice I was there to the surprise of the interviewer who I think was trying to figure out what to do with the fact he kinda knew flair was lying to him.
I saw the video too. I love Ric as a wrestler but Dutch isn't wrong with this fact and his opinion. Ric, "he can have an opinion but keep it to yourself"... lol its RUclips Ric you're talking your opinion and mixing facts. Love ya and think you're the greatest wrestler but....
Thank you Gentlemen!
You OK Ric? Worried about you 🙏
World Champion should always be in last match on the card. The World title should be deserving of all the credibility it can claim as being the supposed best.
The back and forth. With ric and dutch is more entertaining. Then. Todays. Rasslin. 💯 👋✅
Ric is looking like he had 5 minutes sleep and been made to get up for the podcast. Hope he is okay. Please no response he is drunk or hungover, because it isn't the case.
I'm sure he was
High maybe?? Lol.. we need to start taking that into account now that he has his own pot and Mike Tyson got him into smoking now. 😂
@The Sweet Science l made a comment on a recent no show podcast a week or 2 ago where they have been repeated 8 weeks straight he must be making too much money promoting weed.
Prayers to Arn's family🙏🙏
Dutch is the Man!
Arn Anderson and Erin my thoughts and prayers
The Man ; RIC FLAIR
So while Rick did not call on Anderson and talk to him about losing his friend? That says a lot that really says a lot about HIM.
Great Show my mount Rushmore would be Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon and Dusty Rhodes and that is because I am looking at the guys that made the biggest impact on the wrestling industry. I was wondering do the guys who worked on camera all the time like Ric and Arn do they use their on camera names or their real names when talking off camera I would think as long as Ric and Arn worked together on camera and dark matches where he called him Arn all the time that it would kinda be like 2nd nature just to call him Arn
I guess it depends on are you talking in-ring performance or interviews/impact of the character. Flair would be on both. Impact: Flair, Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock. In-Ring: Flair, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Randy Savage
@@50farmers I was talking pure impact on the business like Vince took Wrestling Global Hogan and Flair were the biggest names in the business Hogan was a such a big star that even non wrestling fans knew who he was in the 80s and then Dusty not just what he did in the ring but what he did as a Booker he created story lines and finishes that are still used today not to mention the creation of several of the old NWA/WCW pay per views so that is my take if you talk in ring performance HBK has to be there if you talk mic skills the Rock has to be there but I am talking purely impact on the business as a whole
Who was Hulk's best adversary like Dusty was to Ric? If you had to take Vince off the mountain.
@JJ Most people would probably say Andre but in my opinion it would either be Paul Orndorf or Rowdy Roddy Pipper really Pipper and Hogan's rivalry was the driving force early in WWF and I think the Paul Orndorf heel turn when he clotheslined Hogan after the Studd and Bundy match is in the top 3 heel turns all time
@@charleslongwell645 : The most dramatic turn I ever saw was Flair turning on Dusty in the Omni around 1985. The Russians trapped Flair in a cage and beat the holy hell out of him. Rhodes saves Flair then the Andersons come in and Flair proceeds to lock the cage and the three of them maul Rhodes. Hogan's friends turn on him so much it was almost expected so I think Hogan's heel turn to the NWO was the best Hogan related turn. Almost no one saw it coming like the Flair turn. There was no build up to either like when Savage turned no Hogan which made it all the more shocking.
Look to the Cross of Christ Ric to help you in pain over the loss of a son and put on the armor of God, only Jesus saves.
RIC DID YOU EVER SEE OR MEET ELVIS PRESLEY OR LYNYRD SKYNYRD BEFORE THE 1977 PLANE CRASH IF YES WILL YOU TELL US ABOUT IT THANKS
dutch mentioned the flair/roh deal that have rick walked out with 40k and carey silkin agreed
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
God Bless 🙏 A A. And Family.😇
The answer is simple. Vincent Kennedy McMahon
So Dusty and Jim Crockett share no responsibility?
Ric's shaky hands are very concerning. Hope he is well
he has the D.T.'s
My Mount Rushmore is Brock, Hogan, Flair and Mysterio.
Shocked that Conrad doesn't own Dutch Mantell's speechl
Lol! 2 watch Flair!
So him having to do his own laundry once bob took over drove him to drink. Yeah that laundry can get you everytime.
Is Ric wearing a watch on both wrist?
Can Flair share what was the original plan when Stone Cold left? Was Flair suppost to be part "owner" longer?
Clarify please
Remember Austin beat Flair on Raw in 2002. Flair was suppost to become Austin "personal assistant" but never saw it because Austin walkout the night before. Instead we had Flair vs McMahon with full control of WWE on the line with McMahon winning.
HEY RIC I BET A DIME .AND PLAY THE GAME THATS QUOTES FROM 1 FLEW OVER THE CUKOOS NEST I WATCHED THAT MOVIE ALOT STONED TO THA BONE AND TRIPPED OUT😊😊😊😊😊😊
Ric looks like he's sick.
he is 74 and has been a binge drinking for ~55 years (including and probably the night before this podcast). so with that in mind he looks pretty good
Conrad was trying to speed through and not let Ric finish talking.
Bret had the big gold for like a month lmao
Let's go tell us
How is it that Conrad sounds so chipper when announcing the death of Arn's kid as well as the ten year anniversary of Reid dying?
My thoughts and prayers with onions and his wife is very sad
Onions Anderson?!
How come ric flair was not in this year's wwe 2k23 game
That’s weird
Who is the young lady behind Ric?
Jim Ross when he sold uwf to Crockett
Flair
Ric always looks like his teeth are wrestling against him.
His cannabis line??
The Neely's Mid South Wrestling
Who ruined the NWA? Vince McMahon did when he destroyed the territories.
Destroyed the whole industry. Genious my a$$
Yeah i agree!
Lmao 🤣🤣🤣
He sure did ruin it
Yeah because those other territories owners weren’t doing the same things Vince was. they weren’t conspiring against him at all smh.
Ric we have all seen the clips of you talking about you being there when Brody died
Video tape and the internet are out there
Ric Flair did claimed to be in WWC ( Puerto Rico) Saturday 7/16/88(( Bayamon, Puerto Rico::Juan Ramon Loubriel: Stadium: Bruiser Brody vs Dan Spivey Match- Never happens Bruiser Brody was stabbed in locker room by Jose Gonzales/Invader #1. 7/16/88 (JCP) Flair was wrestling in NWA Great American Bash Tour Day# 14 Greensboro, NC: War Memorial Stadium WarGames Match: Dusty Rhodes,, Nikita Koloff, Lex luger , Steve Dr Death Williams & Paul Ellering defeated Ric Flair, Barry Windham, Tully Blanchard, Arn Anderson & James J.Dillon ( Bruiser Brody died earlier Sunday 7/17/88)
Conrad, just give your father in law money. He hates doing these podcasts, he just wants to talk about old times, and is regulated to doing it like this because he's broke. Can't the biggest money mark in the game just toss Ric a few million and let em drink at Hulks bar all day.
You think he’s broke LOL… Car shield the Flair drip yeah he’s broke! Please lord let me be as broke as flair! WOOO
He doesn't even talk about old times as much as he used to
@@ed2kou1 for how much he's made, to have to humiliate yourself working for Dixie Carter, just to make the mortgage payments. He's prob got 2 million, maybe 3.5 with assets. One more divorce and Ric is gonna have to have another last match. I love naitch though, he'll always get a check for something because he's the greatest of all time.
Maybe he doesn’t want to do the podcast - he got bored with it the first time so who knows. But I don’t think he’s broke. He’s got a lot of revenue streams coming his way right now. He showed his cameo recently and he’s made high six figures on that platform for example. So I think he’s doing fine right now.
The Jets did not even become an NFL Power house when Brett Favre played in New York.
RIC I LOVE THE GORDON SOLIE WRESTLING T.V. SHOW AND WATCHING YOU ON TUESDAY NIGHTS AT TOWNSHIP AUDOTORIUM MY SONS MOM HAD A COUSIN I CANT REMEMBER HER NAME SHE LIVED OR LIVES IN CHAPIN SOUTH CAROLINA MAYBE GAYLE WAS HER NAME SHE SAID SHE DATED YOU YEARS BACK I DONT KNOW LOVE YOU THOUGH RIC YOU ARE NUMBER 1 IN MY BOOK BROTHER STYLING AND PROFILING WOOOOO
He can't come to the chat right. Leave a message that won't be read after clicking🎉
@@pbsimmons2303 yea
if Hall of fame is only thing wrestling has that is real .... the future is not looking good
F Meltzer & Keller!
Who's the Blond Broad Ric ? Thought your Old Lady was Brunette ..... Bahahaha
Ask her to like, get Ric some coffee.
His assistant
Ric doing good? He shaky shaky in this.
Has anyone else noticed that the “W” in the wings part of the woo wings logo looks like a females legs?
I LOVE the show, and he could still write, but I wish I could pay Conrad to let someone else do the interviewing. Even a bot. That accents ridiculous.
Bronco (one more Time and your out of here) Lubach
I used to look forward to seeing Mid-South and NWA and world class this wrestling today is a goddamn joke it's pathetic
Couldn’t have said it better myself. I miss the old days too.
Crockett Jr ruined nwa
Sad
Glad he has seemingly come to terms on how truly bad that Last Match was. He had his story book ending with HBK but couldn't help himself.
What did you expect! Did you think he was going to wrestle a hour?! Did you think he was going to wrestle a match like he did against steamboat! Flair almost died it was about the fans! Get a damn life!!
He’s said multiple times he didn’t want to go to TNA but after a divorce he needed the money. He was paying alimony to multiple women and needed a check. He’s said he regrets going there but did so out of necessity. The last match was obviously disappointing but 1. I didn’t expect much. Dude is in his 70s. 2. It was an attempt to end things on his terms after TNA. Can’t fault that
Some random woman was behind Flair.
I was checking that out too, probably his bed buddy date, you know he's slick ric, he's riding space mountain non 🛑
Woooooooooo!
"Bob prostituted the NWA out"
Ok. What's it called when you show up on WWF with the NWA title?
It was Flair's belt. Where was his $ 25,000 plus interest?
@@chadk890 it wasn't flairs belt. It was the company's. That belt represented the entire roster and all the employees from the janitor to Jim Crockett. The BELT is a prop that he never actually won you know that right? It's his job as a payed employee to pretend and act not take the title to the competitor and start pretending it's real all of a sudden. Give me a break.
Mantel has no room to talk he’s a smart guy and knows the business but all his matches was the shits.
Search on RUclips for Ric Flair on Bruiser Brody and talks Haku. 48 seconds in he says he was on the show in PR when Brody was murdered
Who cares people make mistakes!
@@ed2kou1 agreed but which one was the mistake. Saying he was there or saying he never said it?
Cross reference on someone else that was there and names ric flair as Also booked or look at the card bookings that night another 3 piece evidence
No he wasn't playboy buddy Landel was booked, flair wasn't on the card and probably wasn't there if wasn't booked, check out the official posted on fb
@@MIKEMARIO1 I agree he wasn't there. My original comment was the fact that in this podcast he claims he never said he was there and the fact in another video he said he was
no one is allowed to have an opinion around Ric....how can you be so thin skinned
Dutch comment about Ric was cause they where talking about Dave Meltzer top 10 lists for 2022. It wasn't even that bad what he said. Flair looks like the jackass on this one. Its probably because Dutches podcast is better than his.
Ric should be ashamed doing car shield that’s the biggest scam out there iverson is my favorite basketball player ever and I’m so ashamed he’s gone that low to actually try to get poor people to spend money they don’t have on a warranty nobody takes cuz it’s a scam my garage has a sign on the wall that they will not in any way accept car shield because he will not install used parts into a car and car shield does not pay the mechanic anyway then he lists about two dozen other companies like car shield that he won’t except either
Ric flair ruined the NWA, he disrespected Harley and the fans when he brought the belt to the wwf.. this old 🥴drunk looks tired 😫
Was that a midget or a kid dressed as Ric?
who ruined nwa ? that be vince when he killed wrestling
FLAIR RUINED IT, BECAUSE NOBODY ELES WAS ALLOWED TO BE CHAMPION . BECAUSE OF HIS BACKSTAGE POLITICS ‼️💯🤔
Nwo? Nwa was a rap group
Yeah they meant NWO its a misprint
NWA
National Wrestling Alliance
Waaaayyy Before WCW
Waaaayyy Before NWA Rap Group
Compton yo
Ohhh ok I didn’t know that, I remember
seeing nwo on their shirts and thought it was a typo
Rick ruin the nwa .
Ric you have said you were in the locker room the night Brody was stabbed. You're a liar.
Well he was drunk what's your excuse
@@pbsimmons2303 I don't have excuses. I'm not a lying drunk like Flair
Nobody wants to see Charlotte in the Main Event! Get over her already!
Crazy
I kind of agree with you about that
Its the worst thing im the world to experience
1.Vince McMahon
2.Jim Crockett Jr.
I agree Vince McMahon Jr and the other in my opinion is Bob Geigel
Rofl
Dutch was as mediocre of a wrestler as Terry Taylor.
Flair is the most insecure wrestling "legend" there ever was. Even he doesn't believe his own hype. He routinely attacks other names in the wrestling industry and get overly defensive about any little remark made about him. He needs to lay off the sauce for 5 minutes.
He admits he’s had confidence and problems with anxiety and insecurities.. His fans believe the hype and so does his coworkers… Everyone hands down so he’s the GOAT!! Rap, Athletes they all pay respect to him… Professional teams and college teams both have Flair come out for motivational speeches.. Bunch of haters..
