    My prayers and support to Ric & Arn for their loss. In a different era, Gorgeous George was the top draw. Gorgeous George had music, a robe, a very strong gimmick, and knew how to draw a crowd. Thank YOU, Ric, for all the great promos and wrestling angles!

    I have said this before, and I will say it again - the last match in July I was not expecting a Ric Flair match. I was excited to see Ric make his entrance as only Ric Flair can do, often imitated, but never duplicated, and seeing him wrestle was a real treat for me. I know he was dehydrated because I can tell from experience due to sweat, the eyes, etc. and that was a mistake he made on his part and learned from it. When he trained he was fast, had lots of stamina, and was bumping around like he was 40 years old and he was sweating much less too when training. The last match was a gift to the fans more so than for himself and he gave us all what we wanted - one more match of greatness, and he pulled it off with his signature Figure-Four Leg Lock and he pushed himself until he passed out with it locked in to Jeff Jarrett, and still won. How cool is that!? That whole card made me watch wrestling again one last time because that card had guys who know how to wrestle and work a crowd, unlike most everyone else today who couldn't even work a taco stand. I was happy with what I got to witness again and can share that story for generations to follow now thanks to Ric and to Conrad who made that possible!

    Conrad and Ric the last match gave us, the fans of Ric, a chance to see him in the ring one more time. For me, it gave me a moment to think about when my father (he passed in 2010) would take me to see the NWA as a child. I was able to, for a moment, be that 10 year old again. Be a kid seeing his TV heroes. Anyone that has a negative thing to say needs to get over it, realize many of us just wanted to be that kid again.

    Great Show my mount Rushmore would be Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Vince McMahon and Dusty Rhodes and that is because I am looking at the guys that made the biggest impact on the wrestling industry. I was wondering do the guys who worked on camera all the time like Ric and Arn do they use their on camera names or their real names when talking off camera I would think as long as Ric and Arn worked together on camera and dark matches where he called him Arn all the time that it would kinda be like 2nd nature just to call him Arn

    • @50farmers
      @50farmers Год назад +1

      I guess it depends on are you talking in-ring performance or interviews/impact of the character. Flair would be on both. Impact: Flair, Hogan, Stone Cold, The Rock. In-Ring: Flair, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, Randy Savage

    • @charleslongwell645
      @charleslongwell645 Год назад +1

      @@50farmers I was talking pure impact on the business like Vince took Wrestling Global Hogan and Flair were the biggest names in the business Hogan was a such a big star that even non wrestling fans knew who he was in the 80s and then Dusty not just what he did in the ring but what he did as a Booker he created story lines and finishes that are still used today not to mention the creation of several of the old NWA/WCW pay per views so that is my take if you talk in ring performance HBK has to be there if you talk mic skills the Rock has to be there but I am talking purely impact on the business as a whole

    • @charleslongwell645
      @charleslongwell645 Год назад +1

      @JJ Most people would probably say Andre but in my opinion it would either be Paul Orndorf or Rowdy Roddy Pipper really Pipper and Hogan's rivalry was the driving force early in WWF and I think the Paul Orndorf heel turn when he clotheslined Hogan after the Studd and Bundy match is in the top 3 heel turns all time

    • @50farmers
      @50farmers Год назад +2

      @@charleslongwell645 : The most dramatic turn I ever saw was Flair turning on Dusty in the Omni around 1985. The Russians trapped Flair in a cage and beat the holy hell out of him. Rhodes saves Flair then the Andersons come in and Flair proceeds to lock the cage and the three of them maul Rhodes. Hogan's friends turn on him so much it was almost expected so I think Hogan's heel turn to the NWO was the best Hogan related turn. Almost no one saw it coming like the Flair turn. There was no build up to either like when Savage turned no Hogan which made it all the more shocking.

    Dutch comment about Ric was cause they where talking about Dave Meltzer top 10 lists for 2022. It wasn't even that bad what he said. Flair looks like the jackass on this one. Its probably because Dutches podcast is better than his.

    Ric should be ashamed doing car shield that’s the biggest scam out there iverson is my favorite basketball player ever and I’m so ashamed he’s gone that low to actually try to get poor people to spend money they don’t have on a warranty nobody takes cuz it’s a scam my garage has a sign on the wall that they will not in any way accept car shield because he will not install used parts into a car and car shield does not pay the mechanic anyway then he lists about two dozen other companies like car shield that he won’t except either

    Flair is the most insecure wrestling "legend" there ever was. Even he doesn't believe his own hype. He routinely attacks other names in the wrestling industry and get overly defensive about any little remark made about him. He needs to lay off the sauce for 5 minutes.

    • @ed2kou1

      He admits he’s had confidence and problems with anxiety and insecurities.. His fans believe the hype and so does his coworkers… Everyone hands down so he’s the GOAT!! Rap, Athletes they all pay respect to him… Professional teams and college teams both have Flair come out for motivational speeches.. Bunch of haters..
