      Hey Mia, thanks for watching. Yes, they are so interesting. Sansevierias are definitely one of the most diverse and beautiful plants. And of course, such easy growers 🪴

    Thank you for the detailed video !
    I recently got a tiny plant in a small nursery pot. When I move the pot, the plant seems wobbly (top-heavy). Also, I see that there is 1 root coming out of the drainage hole. And I see a tiny root (hairlike above the soil as well, at the base of the plant) Does it mean I need to repot it? And how do we find out if the plant requires repotting?
    Thank you again !

    My sansevieria looks dull because of dust.
    How to clean dust from it

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  3 года назад +1

      You can shower it or just take a wet cotton tissue and clean the leaves from both sides

    I’m sorry to be critical, but I’m always very disappointed if someone talks about leaf propagation of sansevierias, but doesn’t mention reversion of the babies growing from leaf cuttings…

    Can you manipulate the leaves to make them grow different ways?

    This video is exactly what I need thank you for sharing! ... If I don't have enough growing pots to repot my sansevieria, can I just add rocks to the bottom of the decorative pot, then add the potting soil and sansevieria?

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  4 года назад +1

      Hey Leahnes, while it's possible and your plant will not die, but the thing is that the additional water would flow into the stones and there will be no air ventilation for the roots. Besides, the ceramic pots do not really "breathe". I would suggest making holes in the ceramic pots. You can do this with just a hammer or a drill. Please check my videos, I have a very short video on how to make holes in ceramic pots without a drill. This way the water will go out and the roots will have access to the air and will grow much faster and better. 🌱

    Do u know how to handle my sanseveria. I got it 2 weeks ago and two of the leafs are soft and dying. I repot in in regular plants substrat but may be the water was too much for it. So now what ... :( will I stressed it even more if I move it again in succlents substrat?

    • @AnnasViolets
      @AnnasViolets  3 года назад +2

      Hey Kristin, you can definitely repot it again in succulent potting mix. It will be fine. The sandy soil is important, as in normal potting mix the water stays longer, abd this may cause root rot. When you take it out of the pot, check the roots and the base of the plant. If the leaves are wilted or turn yellow, ut may be because it's rotting. If everything is fine, just repot and put it in a bright place, not under the sun. If you see rotten roots, remove them and cut off everything that looks mushy, black, rotten. If you have too cut off a piece of the stem, don't plant it immediately, but let the whole plant get dry for 2 days. When the wound will be dry, only then repot. 🌺Hope it doesn't sound too complicated😊
