In case you didn't know, this is the actual recording of the released version of this song. They're recording it here live. They also do The Daily Mail in the session and released that as the official version of the song.
To me, Radiohead is the epitome of popular music. No other band throughout history has hit such commercial and critical success with one album (OK Computer) then completely changed their approach to songwriting and followed it up with even more ambitious masterpieces, over the span of the next 20 years. OK Computer, In Rainbows and A Moon Shaped Pool are all about a decade apart (1997, 2007, 2016) and they're so perfect constructed that, unlike a lot of music. they sound unbelievably fresh even after many many listens.
What’s up Brian! I haven’t listened to a lot of their music. Eventually I want to move into recording with a DAW. With that in mind I’ve found their way of layering instrumental parts to be very interesting. Thank you for continuing to to do their songs.
@@GuitarSoloReactions thanks. I’ve recorded on song at my friends home studio. It was a cool process. I’m doing my 2nd open mic at my local Guitar Center this weekend.
Radiohead always require multiple listens they are the definition of a grower type of band I'd love to hear you react to a cool guitar song called Weird Fishes/Arpeggi and for a cool composition try a song called Bloom please do both from the basement sessions. This is a b-side and they are a band that has enough of them to full 3-4 albums. I like your reactions you're just not sitting there making faces and saying how great it is. I could give you a ton of songs to react to because they have so many intricate and innovative songs that I can't really have a favorite. They really remind me so much of the Beatles none of their records sound the same and they are one of the most critically acclaimed bands of all time and actually deserve it. There are a huge amount of great Jazz and even classical covers a lot of them by college and professional orchestras and they are a lot of fun if you're into theory.
Love the vid - question you reference 5 videos but I’ve only seen 3 on the channel - maybe link to the other videos in the description next time? Oh and greatest bend ever - no bad songs - but if u want “out there” composition (although no guitars - do the national anthem from their Saturday night live performance … insane
