Hi Dave, Just been waiting for the right weather to do this walk as it is just down the road from us. Went on Tuesday - great walk and lovely views , quite a lot of shade along those paths which was good. The churchyard in Pentridge is part of a nature/wild flower scheme and is now full of waist high flowers. Thanks to you and Logan.
Hudson spoke of a day the circus walked by on the Martin crossroads to the Blandford road. It was before Health and Safety and Animal Rights. I lived in the old Coote Arms pub and imagined the elephants, lions and bears that would have been horsedrawn to Salisbury, milling by. Amazing
Another really nice walk Dave. I like the first photo of the hare it shows how they can see backward with the position of there eyes. I also like your information on the history of that beautiful ancient landscape.
I’ve heard of Cranbourne Chase, but I didn’t really know exactly where it was. Interesting thoughts about the Jubilee Trail, once again all new to me. 10k race? Rather you than me, but good luck in that. What it is to be a young man! Wonderful views in almost every direction. How on earth did you get Logan on top of that trig point? I’m always impressed by Logan’s obedience, which no doubt down to you. Thanks Dave for a really wonderful walk.
Thanks Lionel. Yes, Logan is a good lad. He has his "Pre Beginners" Obedience title and indeed will be competing at Obedience shows during the Summer this year.
@@DaveFord oh Dave… YOU GOTTA READ IT . The shepherd it was based on is buried directly in front of you in Martin churchyard, as you walk in . James Lawes. It was based on his memories.
Thank you Dave & Logan, for your videos they are helping with my homesickness, being originally from Poole.
Glad that you are enjoying the series. Thank you for watching.
Nice walk Dave, think we’ll try this one👍
Again a lovely film. Thank you Dave and of course, not forgetting Logan. 🤗
Thank you. We both enjoyed doing that walk - the views were stunning.
Once again a lovely walk, or in my case it would be a bit of a hike.
Wonderful scenery and it was so lovely to see Logan running around enjoying all the scents!
There are certainly some great views around there. yes, I think Logan enjoyed that one!

'Hill of the boar '. . What an unusual name for a place. Have a great weekend 😀, Brian and Sah
Thanks. Yes....not the sort of place that I would have associated with Boars!

We did this one yesterday. Beautiful weather and views. As usual, for some reason , we did it the other way round! 😂
Alan , Michelle and dogs !
Well done. Sounds like you had good weather for it. I must admit that I did consider doing it the other way around as well!
Very enjoyable video dave it is really interesting about the history of the places that you visited fantastic.
Thanks Craig. That area has certainly got some "ancient" history!
Thanks Dave lovely walk
Many thanks Trevor :)
Glorious countryside. Ever thought of featuring Studland Dave? It would be nice to get some of the history and views of the area.
Yes indeed Micky. I have filmed a walk at Studland - due to be published on 11th June.
Beautiful Countryside Dave and Logan enjoy all your walks, stay safe.
Many thanks Catherine :)
Wonderful scenery, makes me feel homesick. A stunning part of Old Blighty!🍺🍺
It is certainly a fantastic spot for countryside views, that is for sure!

Hudsons book, A Shepherds Life , was based in Martin but was centred on Wiltshire.
One if the best written circa 1901 i believe?
I shall certainly look that up.

He tells us of the centuries old sheep fair they held in Yarlborough stone age rings just north of 303 near Cricklade , just west of Stonehenge.
Lovely view at 16:19
Smashing place for countryside views.

Lovely Dave. I don’t suppose you could come train my dog Claude. He’d never sit like that which is why he’s missing from my most recent videos 😂
It certainly can an be quite a challenge training a Whippet Marc, that is for sure!
Dave, I do admire your selection of caps, where do you get them from, please?
I just got them off the internet (Amazon I think)..... something to keep my head warm in the Winter & the sun off in the Summer!
@@DaveFord many thanks for the information 👍
