Great video mate , nice to see someone doing a video showing the inner city . These places and people get forgotten and there's some lovely people there .
@@ladanddad Meadows,Sneinton ,Clifton the world’s your oyster mate. These places get a bad reputation ,nice to see you showing it’s not all bad .Ivwork around these places and there’s some bloody nice people .
Watching this walkthrough was quite painful and brought back a lot of bad memories because i was indeed one of those drug addicts that used to go to St Anns for my drugs from 1996 to 2017. Thankfully i have been clean since 2017 and i haven't stepped foot in St Anns since then and it's a shame that the drug problems are still around in that area because believe it or not some of the best people (not connected to drugs) i met during those tough times came from St Anns and they are very down to earth people.
I've lived in St Anns, until I was 12 (Moved out January 17th 2011) I used to live not far from Aisana supermarket. It was rough in the 2000s Sycamore's a few streets away from Aisana
stansville as the local youths call it is definitely rough, a massive drug problem and the ensuing poverty are rampant. I used to work in the area and there were always a lot of youths just hanging around in different spots waiting to sell their gear. There is a hostel for families there but in the early 2000s a high rise which was full of homeless waiting to be housed permanently was notorious, often filled with drug addicts and prostitutes- was a terrible place
That yellow soft top car on woodborough road is always there been there years its abandoned its a pug and i see it on the bus regular as I pass and the chase is the roughest part of st Ann's
I lived in st Ann’s for many years in the heart of st Ann’s had no problems at all there if you not from there like any other place yes tread carefully keep yourself to yourself .respect to all dem people in st Ann’s
Its ok in the daytime but soon as it hits darkness its a no go area for me and many others i know ive lived in notts all my life and its one of the most dodgy places as well as nice n clean (hyson green)
You're getting a lot of names wrong, it's as though you're doing a documentary on the area but you haven't done your homework properly. We have a lot of druggies in the area because Framework has lots of properties in the area.
I went to a party one night on wells road in the end i had a fallout with the host of the party and had to walk back late at night the only way i could get was walking past a gang of like 8 people stood under some small bridge in the pitch black i remember thinking am guna end up stabbed or something here but i walked by and not a word was said
Lived duncome close brought shopping home was on pushbike put away 1 minute came back get bike gone some one took it straught from my front door was attacked in house broke my nose went to police told me go Way
@@ladanddad half of my family are from St anns. Some mixed race, some white. It's not just for "brown people!" There is all kinds of people there. So the first comment above is abhorrent
You are wrong our houses were not shacks. Yes we had outside toilets no bathroom. But if i could go back i would and so would others of my time. Better time better place.
Its a great area like all inner city area it has it's problems, there is so much more you coukd have said about the area and showed because that is Central St Anns which isnt even half of it. The Robinhood Chase which you showed had the First race riots in 1958. They also had the most gun crime in the city which resulted in two Deaths of young people Danella Beckham and Brendon Lawrence. Earning it the title has Shootingham sending its reputation in a big way national. Everyone now associates it with drugs, crime and gangs!! Which is a bit unfair because like St Anns and Nottingham, they are both nice places to live and study off course. Far worse places than Notts tgat fir sure.

No not interested in doing homework on the area would rather do these types as it gets comments where people correct me and tell their history
